Yeah. Not a huge deficit at all. Only down 3 scores on the road to the best team in the nfl and a far superior team than ours. Easy. No sweat. Not really. It’s not a huge deficit and there was plenty of time left. 3 score comebacks happen multiple times every week, but the offense was awful.
That goes both ways. The offense did nothing when the defense was generating stops. In fact much of the first quarter and second quarter saw the defense gets stops and the offense simply go 3 and out over and over again.Like the OP says, Dak was bad. But for the media to harp on the three picks makes you wonder if they even watched the game or are just reading a stat sheet.
Dam you Josh Allen!!! *shakes fist at the sky*Yup the game was over before the first pick but these fantasy football morons will come out and bash Dak but you never hear a damn thing about Josh Allen when he threw three picks in a loss to the Jets!
Yes, my point is that the only relevant analysis of that game would be of the 1st half. And Dak's three 3 and outs to start the game were a huge part of that. INT's are not everything.
I only care about where they need to focus to avoid a repeat.1) With 20 or so minutes left, while unlikely, Dallas could have still made it a game. Dak's interceptions killed that. You can't just magically make interceptions go away. And in fairness, not all three were his fault. The Gallup one was likely Gallup's fault.
2) Let's not gloss over the fact one reason the game was 28-10, which allows you to try to pretend Dak's interceptions were no big deal, is the fact Dak played crappily to start the game.
It was over when the offense cut the lead to 14-7 with a nice drive, but the defense followed that with a bunch of penalties and allowed SF to wear their bits out on a nice 75 yard drive for another TD.They had a quarter and a half yet to play, and only down 3 scores. It was far from over until he sealed the deal with 3 straight picks.
