I watched the game a second time, and while the 2nd team o-line obviously struggled, I thought there were some positives. I'm not a coach but a couple of things I saw:

Doug Free looked pretty solid. He seemd to square up on his man and get in good position for the most part in pass pro. Him and Mcqusitan got beat on the same play and probably were each responsible for a sack on Johnson.

Marten got a great seal on the Choice TD. Berger trapped and got a nice block too. Marten's biggest problem looks to be strength.

I didn't think McQuistan was as bad as everyone else. He got in good position for the most part in pass pro, but him and Marten struggled a few times with communication on who to block.

Saw Berger and Proctor get pushed in the backfield on more than one occasion. Proctor more than Berger. Berger seems to get to the second level in the run game well. He also leveled a guy 15 yards downfield on the Felix Jones long reception.

I hope at least a couple of these guys develop into something because while the starting o-line is terrific, all of then will be 30+ at the end of the season and Colombo is unrestricted.

its similar to Cowboys superbowl teams....there is a huge drop off in talent/depth once you get past starters on O-line. I thought Berger would look better but he doesnt appear to be an upgrade of Kosier. McQ hasnt progressed. Free deserves a shot because he does have alot of talent.
