Hello Zoners, I have this theory that if the Eagles score first that Chip Kelly will definitely attempt a 2pt conversion early and often due to the nature of the Cowboys offense's ability to come back and winning the game we didn't see Kelly do this at all against the Falcons. What do you guys think?

I think settling for 6 will get you beat. Hopefully Kelly will not be calling for many 2 point plays

Yes it will get a team beat but given Kelly's track record when he was coach at Oregon he had a propensity to go for 2 every time they scored not saying that it will work every time but it's something we should consider.

All I can say is this is not college. If Kelly wants to do that fine but as xvendettax914 said if they do and end up losing by 1 because of a failed 2 pt attempt the Philly fans will burn that place down. lol

I'm fairly surprised that the extra point change hasn't led to more 2 point conversion tries. Maybe it will as the season goes along, but in week 1? It didn't seem to make a lick of difference.

Coaches will still go for 97% success rate in the longer FG than the 2 point

This won't come into play until November up north. It'll never be a factor at Cowboys Stadium.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this change. However, four extra points were missed this weekend, and it does add some drama.

It's those windy, rainy, cold, or snowy days where this could be a HUGE factor.

That I agree with the meltdown would be epic and we foresee it coming.

well at the range they are kicking, they still hit what, 90+% of kicks so you are still better going for one. If 2 point conversion attempts are 50% you have to score twice to have the same probability

You are still better to take the one point.
