Round 1-
Kenny Vaccaro S Texas- I know, I know, this wont be a popular pick....But its not a bad one considering we would be getting the best player at a position of very high need for us. Vaccaro is very good in pass defense, which is something we've lacked from the FS position for a long time. He also isn't afraid to throw his body around and make a big hit when needed. May not be the flashiest play maker, but he will do his job very well and make everybody in the secondary better.

Round 2-
Justin Pugh OG/OT Syracuse- Pugh could possibly be better than what we have at RT, but he is DEFINITELY better than what we have at LG. Scouts are projecting him at OG because he has less than ideal arm length, but other than there isn't a whole lot to not like about Pugh. Very good feet, great technique, and enough size and strength to hold his own against most D-lineman. Most likely a day 1 starter at LG with Livings sliding over to RG and Mack and Costa battling it out for starting C.

Round 3-
Brandon Williams DT Missouri Southern State- Some much needed beef for the D-line. Rat and Hatcher are nice pass rushing 3 Techs, but we lack a big nasty DT to stuff the run and take on multiple blockers. Williams is the perfect guy for that. 3 time D2 all-american who also had very impressive sack #'s (27 career). Very impressive at the senior bowl so competition isnt a big concern.

Round 4-
Stepfan Taylor RB Stanford- Will probably fall this far only because of a slow 40 time at the combine. Doesn't concern me, kid is a gamer. Tough, hard nosed and durable runner who rarely goes down on 1st contact. Exactly what we need behind Murray.

Round 5-
Kevin Reddick LB UNC- High recruit, 4 year starter, and 2 time team captain. Reddick failed to ever put together a full consistent year at UNC, but he has a lot physical tools to make him a useful 2 down LB in the NFL, as long as he isn't asked to do a ton in coverage.

Round 6-
Manase Foketi OT/OG West Texas A&M- Not as much of a project as his college would lead you to believe. Started every game at LT for Kansas State in 2010 and started 2011 at the same spot before tearing his achilles. After that his college career took a weird turn as he asked for his release from K State despite still having a year of eligibility left. K State denied it and he was forced to go to D2 where he absolutely dominated (graded at 94% for the season). Could be a late round steal as a RT project. Could also project inside to guard give his size and strength.

Pugh has excellent feet and despite short arms I think he ends up outside. Like the Williams pick. I think they draft a TE or WR.

I wanted to put a WR in the middle rounds, but I felt RB was more important. Not crazy about any of the late round guys either. Ideally I'd like to add another 4th somehow and grab a guy like Connor Vernon. Definitely agree on needing 1 more reliable WR though. Kinda hoping we can grab 1 after June 1st.

Also, while I agree Pugh can probably can play OT, wouldn't you agree he would be better utilized at OG? I can see him having a much higher ceiling there, especially in a ZBS. I don't see him being a particularly great RT even though he could most likely hold his own there.

Vaccaro: Fine with this pick

Pugh: Like this pick as well.. Versatile.. Good player

Williams: Also like this pick.. Right with you about having some 3 tech's already (Ratliff, Hatcher, Brian Price) let's get a big nasty guy in here

Stepfan Taylor: My least favorite of your picks. If you are gonna go RB in round 4 use it on a guy with some upside.. I like Christine Michael, Andre Ellington, Mike Gillislee, and others here. Taylor does not impress me at all

Reddick: Like this pick as well.. Can probably start or compete with albright for the 3rd LB spot right away.. Kid has talent

Foketi: Not a fan of this pick either. Lot's of guys with upside you can get in this draft in the 6th round.. I think getting a guy in the 6th round and piling him in with Parnell and Derrion Weems wont do much. I Like a guy like Ray Ray Armstrong, Rontez Miles, Stansly Maponga, and others here.

Vaccaro: I'm beginning to believe that they must get a "ready-now" Safety in this draft. I'm not a big fan of taking Vaccaro at #18; however, it's possible that the top 3 or 4 Safeties could be gone by #47.

Pugh: I don't understand the high ratings for this player. I know that he has super quick feet; however, his arms are not just short, they're very short (31.5"). I doubt if there are any starting OTs in the NFL with arms that short. At OG, he is not a very powerful player, IMO.

There is a large list of players that I would prefer at both OT and OG.

Brandon Williams: I like this player. He has good quickness for his size; however, I think his quickness might be borderline for a DT in a Kiffin defense. If he can play at a weight that is a little below his combine weight, then I think it could work.

Stepfan Taylor: Definitely worth a shot in the 4th round despite the terrible 4.76 forty. He will probably run better at his Pro Day which I believe is later this week.

Kevin Reddick: OK in the 5th; however, if the questions concerning effort are correct, then I think Garrett and the Cowboys will avoid him.

Manase Foketi: I don't know what to think about this player now. I was a fan from the college footage that I've seen (mostly K-State); however, his combine/Pro-Day results were very disappointing. His 10-yard, 40-yard, 3-cone and short-shuttle times were all very bad. I might perfer Luke Marquardt at this spot.

That's exactly why he's their guy.

.
According to your analysis then, our best use of assets would be to try to trade up in the 2nd to get a CB. Otherwsie, we are reaching for need.

I tend to think there will not only be a good CB available in the 2nd, but one in the 3rd too.

Not the end ofthe world if they take Vaccaro though. Not my preference, but workable.
They better load up with oline and value later though.
