I like Baun more than most, but I don’t think you can take him at 17. I’m sure every post under mine will kill you for that pick.

Also think the 3rd is too high for what Fotu is. Run stuffers aren’t that hard to come by.

Totally fine with differing opinions but I think he's a top 20 talent. I think he's arguably the 2nd best natural pass rusher this year after Young. I don't think you leave him as DE only, but he will give you a lot value there at a premium position.

- Elite get off (1.54 10 yard split)
- Above average athlete
- Elite production at a good college program
- Quality tape against top 50 OTs

Like all those guys, depending on who was there would go with a different player at four but good draft. Baun is ranked 17th overall and par value at the spot, if he can live up to his comp of Clay Matthews I would be thrilled.

Baun would be a great pick, but he is not a DE. I think he has a real future at LB.

Trust me, you can find a mock I did a couple weeks ago with me making literally all those same points lol. I had us trading back with the Pats and taking Baun though.

The problem I have taking Baun at 17 is that he may be off the field a decent amount early on. 1st and 2nd downs where teams have 3+ WR’s on the field (which is a lot) where is he playing? Only 2 LB’s and that’s LVE and Jaylon it healthy, so do you have Baun with his hand on the ground in possible running downs? Or is he on the sideline?

I really do like him and think he’s underrated, but I think he’s a SAM LB when the opposing O has 2 or less WR’s (which is kind rare nowadays) and a DE only in really obvious passing situations. Is that an important enough role for the #17 pick? Debatable

I agree to an extent...whoever drafts him needs to have a good plan for him and let him rush and play LB. if he’s not doing both I don’t think your maxing his value.

Start him at SAM, rotate him in the nickel / dime with LVE / Smith ( he covers well) and he’s your RDE on passing downs.

The old regime would’ve been too dumb and old school for this kind of player but I’m hoping McC is at least looking at him.

Id replace Fotu with Davon Hamilton in Round 3.

No what GB did with Clay is exactly what I’d be looking for.

if a team puts this kid as a DE only where he’s always playing with his hand in the dirt that would be a bad decision IMO.

I took him in the 2nd here because I was able to....and man I'm hoping that's what actually happens.

But I'd be willing to wager that in the end, Baun isnt available on Friday morning.

Not loving Baun at 17.

Not huge on Terrell in 2nd, but decent value.

Love Fotu.

Not a fan of Wallace at all.

Hill in 5th is good value.

His greatest asset is his ability to get around the edge. He's just not tall or long enough to consistently win against premium left tackles.

And he can impact the run game, and he can cover.

He has good tape against Sewell (1st round OT next year) and Wirfs (1st round OT this year). He isn’t that long, but length isn’t the only way to win as a pass rusher.
