Do we stay with the 3-4? Or does it have to go? I know personel wise we are set up for the 3-4, but how hard would it be to go back to a genuine 4-3?

I think that should be left up to the next HC of this team. 3-4 or 4-3 does not matter it all comes down to players going out and executing it.

Does any one think that will weigh in on the new coaching decision? Will Jerry be looking for a 3-4 guy or will it not matter?

i think jerry was smart not to alienate parcells and the 3-4 by saying anything other then what he said about the 3-4. i think the signing of the next hc will determine which defense they go to.

i really think theres 4 names for this job.

lovie smith
ron rivera
norv turner
wade phillips

Jerry indicated last year that the team was making a long-term commitment to the 3-4.

well would u say yes we're going back to a 4-3 once parcells is gone?

i wouldnt. especially with parcells still in dallas. i think if jerry sings a pro 4-3 guy then thats the defense they'll play.

I would hope that is something that Jerry will leave up to the next HC

Wouldn't mind it.
Shoot me if it happens.
Shoot me again.

Why not? For the right price he might consider it.

You have to be flexible with your personnel. Ware has the tools to be one of the best 3-4 OLB's in the league. Is that true at DE? Could he be a weakside 3-4 LB? Strong? I think that's more important than who the coach is. Which system do we have the personnel for?

Yes I am. Jerry will always be involved with the team and personally I don't have a problem with that but I do think he allowed Bill to make the calls on most things pertaining to the system we play and players who are released or make the team. Jimmy had that as well and I do think Jerry has learned from past mistakes.

The lions are a terrible team, with a terrible Oline, and a terrible offensive philosophy leading to murdering the QB. He did that for one week - a 16 game season's a different animal. Would he be as elite a DE as he will be a LB? I don't know. But that would determine my decision. It's all about Ware. I think he could be a great LB in any scheme, really.

i think he would. a great player is a great player. plain and simple, just like people whined about ellis moving to OLB.
