the 3-4 scheme is supposed to cause confusion. The only person our 3-4 confuses is me.I am baffled by the lack pf pre snap movement and how horrible we are at disguising blitzes. I liked the way the giants just kept mixing it up on third downs where is our creativity. We have the bet pass rusher in the in nfl arguably the best nt the lack of pressure is inexcusable. This is one reason we lack turn overs

It confuses our own defense more than it confuses an opposing offense. The schemes are just too complex for these guys. Back to the 4-3!

This is Wades fault. We have been beaten by the long ball constantly when we blitz. Teams are also ready for it. We should sometimes drop our backers to play the pass or even fake the blitz. Our 3-4 seems like a 4-3. It hasn't worked.

Funny you mention that because after gashing us on every possession, we stopped them from converting when we faked a 5 man rush but only rushed 4 and played coverage.

It's been like this since we made the switch. We've got one of the most poorly coached 3-4's ever. The team has been in the 3-4 for long enough, nothing has changed.

We have the people to run the 3-4. Simple as that. A good coach could get something out if these guys...I think

If Gruden gets this job, I think he will stick with the 3-4. I heard him say that he would like to have it.

However, he may want to change the style of the 3-4.

The team is too predictable on both sides of the football, imo. Dallas' coverages are pretty predictable, imo.

Offensive line needs to be completely rebuilt and the defensive front 7 and both safeties and the nickel CB need to be upgraded or evaluted, imo.

Perhaps, a new secondary coach can coach Scandrick up. Brooking looks old. The DEs are nothing special, and three of them will be free agents.

Ware is the the definition of a 3-4 linebacker, and I wouldn't mess with that proven formula for him.

Spencer appears to be under-achieving this year (based on how he turned it up last year), but I still like him.

I think Sean Lee needs to play more, imo.

I'd let these players walk:

Sensabaugh
Ball
Brooking
Hatcher
Spears
Bowen

With the same players above we were killing the QBs past few years. For some reason, our blitzes have been too predictable this year.

Having said that I move Ball back to CB and get rid of Brooking and maybe Hatcher. I'd keep Spears. I would hate to see our rush defense without him. It'll be like tonight's game every week.

The 3-4 defense isn't very good if you are bad at safety and are bad at stopping the run. This defense this year has been bad against the run and we have no real safeties. If you can't stop the run in a 3-4 defense your pass defense looks awful.

Sensabuagh looked pretty damn confused prior to that TD that was on him. He had no clue what was going on.

He certainly can't get any worse right now.

Jenkins is going to have to be rebuilt from the neck up, too.

Jenkins is too good of a player to be playing scared.

Someone get this coaching staff away from him....

Part of me has to ask why is it every safety we put back whether all pro or no seems so lost int his defense. Roy, Ken, Sensy, I remember it being said coverages do not change in a 3-4 to a 4-3 so why is it every safety we put back there gets worse after longer exposure.

I don't think he's playing scared, he's just playing too undisciplined. And once you start getting a reputation for committing PI, the refs will throw it every time. That's why he got flagged for playing through the receiver, but Webster did not when he did the same thing in the end zone.

Ever freakin' game we are out coached.

Its embarrassing.

Spears is solid against the run, but teams are shifting to the 3-4. Some team may pay him more than he's worth. I wouldn't over pay for him. Hatcher is for sure gone, imo. Bowen will follow him. He's been a disappointment. Dallas needs a DE who can get after the QB in order to help Ware out, imo.

Ratliff was getting double teamed all night long. Dallas didn't do much to help him out tonight. Where were the inside linebackers and safeties?

I agree with that. Good points.

Jenkins did make a great play on a deep ball tonight.

I do think the next head coach will get Jenkins' best.

I think this coaching staff has lost him, imo...

I put the undisciplined play squarely on the coaches...

Some of the zones didn't help Jenkins tonight, either...

I agree with this. Watching the Pittsburgh game this weekend they were moving their LBs all over the place. Timmons (ILB) was lining up all over the place, playing behind the NT, rushing from the outside etc. You never knew who was lining up where and who was rushing or dropping back into coverage. Our defense lines up the same way almost every play and blitzes look the same week in and out.
