In 07 there were three plays that were sure to make a career highlight reel should these particular players end up worthy of some sort of NFL Films highlight reel in the future -

Romo's mad scramble against the Rams
Barber's end zone evasion
Wittens helmet-less run

any others?

The "endzone evasion" is a forgettable play for me... He should have never been there.

But the other 2 are good, and Romo to Witten to end the Lions game. Actually, Witten's performance in the game alone is a classic to me.

yeah, he probably should have just quit and taken the 5 yard loss.

How bout the whole last minute of the Buffalo game?

Barber's endzone escape is one of the best individual efforts from any player in the NFL last year. What an incredible display of sheer strength and balance.

Yes, he should have. Better than running into the endzone.

Actually yea, because the odds are against you on that kind of thing. He got out and it was awesome, but you don't take that chance.

5 yard loss compared to a 2 yard gain...im pretty sure detroit fans never beached and moaned when barry was doing his mad scrambles and went near or in the end zone

Crayton's catch against the Giants, nevermind.

Yeah that was a thing of beauty wasn't it...probably go down in the annals of Pro Football as one of the greatest QUITS in the history of the sport. He single handedly ended the cowboy season by dropping key passes and quiting on plays.

I would also add Nick Folk to the list...his two kicks (forced to kick again due to dumb time out rule) down the middle to win the game....think it was Buffalo.

Agreed. Its tough to say because it was such a great run, but a RB should never get himself into that position.

when 95/100 times the result would have been a safety by doing what he did, then yes, you take the loss. That play is an example of horrible judgment and awful tackling.

Yeah, because Barber is as good as Barry Sanders, right?

never implied that he was. just stating something, simple as that. I'm willing to bet if he did just go down and take that 5 yard loss a) you would have beached about it b) they would have gotten a safety, but instead we get A

For 1, I wouldn't have *****ed about it a bit...
And 2, if he would have taken that loss, we wouldn't even be talking about that play right now.

you are right now and hell im sure you beach about Julius when he takes a loss of down as well so its safe to say you would about barber as well and Barber doing what he decided to keep turning the legs (like were taught in pop warner) is what makes it a CLASSIC play of '07.

How about the sack of Brady and Hatcher scooping it up and running it in...

Despite New England knowing what defense was coming. ;)
