1. DT Osa Odighizuwa

Although the attention obviously (and understandably) gets placed on pass rusher Micah Parsons, the Dallas Cowboys have another weapon on the defensive front in interior lineman Osa Odighizuwa, a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of UCLA.

2. DE DeMarcus Lawrence One of the Cowboys' longtime staples at this point is pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence. Lawrence, despite getting up there in age, is still one of those players the Cowboys will want to hold onto beyond this season.

3. LG Tyler Smith, left guard The Cowboys do have some time to figure this one out as Smith was a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft class, but this is a situation they might want to be proactive with and not reactive. Up Next - Previewing Bengals at Chiefs Week 2 close 9/14/24, 10:47 PM 3 Cowboys who deserve a new deal after Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb contracts https://thelandryhat.com/posts/3-co...k-prescott-ceedee-lamb-contracts-01j7pe09d843 4/6 The interior offensive lineman market is heating up as NFL teams adjust to having to deal with so many dynamic players on the interior defensive line. Because Smith has emerged as one of the top left guards in the game, the Cowboys might be wise to pay him at the current market value instead of waiting for the price to go up to something even more absurd.

I like all 3, but I think only one of them will be playing for us in 2025.

They don't need to do anything. Tyler Smith will get the 5th year option and the other two will be replaced by draft picks next year. Just like Martin. Draft and develop. Out with the old in with the new. The only old head that I would consider giving an extension to would be Kendrick's on maybe a two or three year extension. We can wait one or two years before we break up Batman and robin.

Tyler is a no-brainer
Osa will probably get more money elsewhere......similar to Armstrong
DLaw is tricky IMO......I can certainly see them wanting to keep him but t coz of Kneeland this is likely his final year. Not to mention I could see at least 2-3 teams willing to give him a solid 2-3 year deal.

The problem that Jerry keeps perpetuating is that everyone knows he'll pay in the end. In respects of Tyler, he'll need to be the highest paid LG, to stop him getting to the market and getting LT kind of money.

Dlaw has to be completely team friendly, guys like Osa and Fergy most likely cap casualties

Until DLaw starts to show his age, he is a must to retain

Jerry can't pay everyone record breaking contracts, so at some point he's going to have to put his foot down.. might cost us someone.

My guess is we lose Osa. We resign Tyler and DLaw, but if DLaw wants too dollar, I could see us being forced to move on.

Good stuff.

That’s a tough one.

Dak, CD, and Micah are currently eating over 140+M in 2025 cap.

That leaves 130+M for the rest of the team.

Osa disappears for a good portion of the season. You can probably draft someone to replace him. D-Law is interesting, as he is a solid piece of the defense.

I think you can rather easily replace Dlaw with a top Draft pick. 2nd rd possibly

Osa plays a position where stats don't show his worth. Havento watch the WHOLE game and see how good he is. Everyone disappears according to most fans
