3 Most Positive Changes in 2025

You don't walk around moping because kind of like Jerry you only bought one ticket .
So the fact you don't have a lot invested and maybe got a few numbers and got enough to buy another ticket.

That's where Jerry's at he invests just enough to stay relevant and get another place at the table but not enough to truly compete and get the whole prize.

Now if you invested maybe $250,000 in lottery tickets it would increase your odds of the big prize quite a bit but if you didn't win that stick up your butt might feel like it has razor blades on it.

Jerry doesn't want to take the chance and go all in and invest too much he'd rather do a little bit stay relevant maybe get into the tournament but if he doesn't

He doesn't feel bad like you with the lottery ticket cuz there's not that much invested and in his case he's still making a huge profit
A great return on investment take.
Excellent job.

The inexperience of our coaching staff is not an advantage, but I do agree they have a long way to go. Too far to go. I expect this season to be embarrassing for Cowboys fans.
Why would this year be embarrassing?

Jerry has enough money to risk it on lottery tickets. The problem is, his trades are usually horrendous. So he would take bad risks, that would most likely just be a waste.

Now if he had a FT GM that new what he was doing, we could have different results.

He makes a profit, because those that complain about him, day in and day out, are still keeping him relevant. He doesn't have to buy lottery tickets, he already hit it with those fans.

BTW, I've never bought a lottery ticket, just messing around with my pal.

Thanks a lot chasing6 for the lottery odds rabbit hole.

I’m not passing out any praise to coaches or anyone else until I see how we perform once the regular season starts.

Agreed a real GM would give us some positive results.

Jerry as our GM gives us a completely frugal mentality in the area of free agency.

Then in the area of say our second round pick he goes full-blown gambler on injured players head cases and anyone he thinks there's a chance could be a star but has some kind of baggage.

He gets beat up on trades holds on to his money to the last second to sign players.

The only predictable thing is that he will never completely shoot the works and go all in when building the roster and coaching staff.

We will always be a couple players short and the head coach will never be anyone who threatens his authority or celebrity status no matter how qualified they are.

Mike was brought in for one reason: to win in the postseason.

He failed.

People will point to three 12 win seasons, but overall, there were issues he tolerated, and problems he never fixed, so IMO, his tenure here should be judged on whether or not he improved us in the key area he was brought in to address: and he didn’t
Exactly correctamundo!!!!!!

I am starting to think GM Jethro loves the adrenaline of it all. It make sense to me now.

1. He likes to gamble on injured players, players with issues or flat out high ceiling or bust players.
2. He likes to wait to the last moment on big contracts. I think he just gets off on it.

You can write what looks like a good song....buf if ya can't play it...it sucks.
No the song doesn't necessarily suck the guy who can't play it sucks.

Just like a team can have a roster that looks really good but if it's not coached properly it might suck.

Soon we will find out if Shotty is Jimmy Johnson Jason Garrett or somewhere in between.

For sure when you have billions of dollars your search for excitement maybe a bit out of the ordinary for most.

Who knows we all criticize him for not paying the players sooner but maybe he has a bean counter that has figured out that the media talking about it and making his team relevant for all that extra time is worth more than what he's losing by waiting to pay them Jerry's all about the money

Even good bands have songs that suck.

My point is that you and the band have to put it together. Just like this huge organization has to put it together.

The song we are getting ready to play? Well...we don't know yet...if the song sucks or the band does. It would seem we agree on that.

I can understand that as an Owner, but that would be an extremely dump GM type of decision. As a GM your job should be solely on making the team better to win.

Yes for sure it's a tough time of the year with a lot of speculation going on but nothing we can hang our hat on and say is a sure thing.

Totally new coaching staff so many players coming back from injury.
Players with high draft status that we hope are going to take the next step.

The only thing I will say is that it appears we have made much
more effort this off season to try and change the culture and add talent compared to past seasons.

That said we just have to be patient and see how it plays out
