Patriots
Eagles
Denver
Dallas

All played a young qb who officially made their first NFL start. The first three teams have one thing that we don't, great coaching. The fact that Garrett can't win games without Romo is a reflection or an indictment on his ability to coach or construct or a good gameplan around these qbs who come in for Romo. It won't happen, but at some point Jones has to look at this and make a key decision if Garrett is truly the answer for this team. He also has to ask if he wants Garrett to be the one who helps develop Prescott because Garrett's track record thus far isn't exactly a strong one.

All three of those teams have really good defenses that create turnovers. I agree Garrett is crap, but lets not act that Coaching is the sole reason for Sundays loss.

I disagree though. Holding the Giants to just 20 points was actually pretty damn good, considering the circumstance. The offense, just like last year, wasn't doing anything to make most out of these opportunities.

New England 23 Cards 21
Denver 21 Carolina 20
Philly 29 Browns: 10
New York: 20 Dallas 19

Let's face it though, the Browns are the Browns. I'm not saying that they don't have good defenses because they do, but based on this, Dallas was more or less in the same area. They just couldn't score enough points.

In Philly's case--not taking anything away from Wentz--anyone who plays QB on a team that gives up 10 points is bound to win the game.

New England and Denver just have way better overall teams. Plus New England' QB has been in the league a few years now.

Simien is a 2nd year player, Garropollo is a 3rd year player and Wentz went against Cleveland, perhaps the worst team in the NFL by a wide margin.

If Cole, Dez or both come down with TDs instead of incompletions, or TW gets out of bounds and Bailey wins on a last second FG, does that make Garrett a great coach too?

And if Dak got to play Cleveland or the Rams, he'd have won, too.

Yeah but with New England they were under worse conditions than we were.

I'd take our situation over theirs minus 2 of their Olinemen, Gronk, Brady, and being on the road @ Arizona.

I thought the same thing.
Also ...

The Broncos have a great defense
The Patriots have great coaches who understand how to exploit the weaknesses of opponents.
The Eagles ........ were playing the Browns and now injured-reserve quarterback RGIII.

Nailed it.

Also New England has the best coach in possibly the history of the NFL.

Oh look, every one of those offenses scored enough to beat the Giants...except ours. Oh look, the new QBs in New England and Denver were playing against two of the toughest defenses in the league.

Oh look, if our defense could've gotten off the field sooner on NYG's last drive, our offense would have had more time to get into FG range with a young, inexperienced QB. I don't want to defend Garrett, but he didn't drop TD passes or neglect to get out of bounds. We have to hold the players accountable at some point. Our guys have done some really dumb things. Coaching is partially to blame, no doubt about it. But the Dallas Cowboys need to start earning their paychecks.
