3 players that can put us over the top

Xavier Woods - he needs to lock down the FS safety position, something that has plagued this secondary for a long time, with Richards guidance our secondary can become really good.
We probably shouldn't be counting on a 6th rounder to save the day.

I wonder why he fell so far, though. Has measurables and a history of good play.

If we can get significant production from the following players, I feel we can contend in the playoffs.

Taco Charlton - most of the attention will be on the other side to get Lawerence/Irving blocked which should free Taco up on the right side, If he can take the next step this year and contribute that could go along way for our pass rush.

Jaylon Smith - with one year of playing experience and health improving, it could really go along way for our LB core especially if he can show some dominance like he did in college.

Xavier Woods - he needs to lock down the FS safety position, something that has plagued this secondary for a long time, with Richards guidance our secondary can become really good.

obviously, there are other players on the team that could help significantly, but these 3 guys will get every opportunity to contribute and if they can't we could be in some trouble.

Great write up. I’m a big fan of Smith personally and I believe that with Richard on the staff the young secondary is going to quickly become the strength of the defense. Should be a fun year if the offense gets rolling again

Randy Gregory if he just plays like he did in year one. I'd be happy. He has speed and quickness that is rare if we can just get him to play 16 games the impact Will be felt

The only concern I have with the offense is the OL, which I expect this FO to get it fixed by Sept.

Interesting group of players.

A player will be one of the following:
  • Quality Starter
  • Average or below starter.
  • Rotational-player/backup.

These 3 players could end up in any of these categories.

I want also see more of Kavon Frazier. That dude was coming into his own last season.
he gave the defense instant "attitude" when they gave him extra snaps at SS over Byron.....it gave the D a pickup, Rod M had to see that.

No kidding. I don't mind giving him a shot but we better come out of the draft with someone lie Bates or Reid to come in and compete for the job because I'm not comfortable at all going into training camp with him and Frazier as the two options beside Heath.

Stewart would be a nice option in the 3rd. That leaves the first 2 rounds to really help this team.
