3 players who need to play big against the Patriots

I know people are going to say, "we should focus on the Bills". Screw that. I am not a Dallas Cowboy player so i can afford to look past an opponent. We should easily beat the Bills its that simple. Now, back to the subject at hand. I have a theory that i think will prove to be true regarding this Cowboy team and their games against good opponents. During our big games this year a certain 3 key players on our team have to play good for us to win.


Now there is a difference between a big game against a good team and a big game against a average/decent team like say the Commanders. Against those average teams in big games 2 of the three players can play good and we still win. Against the Patriots Week 6, its time for our key players to earn their money if we wanna be at the top. When we play a team like the Patriots all three of these players have to perform well for us to win. And these players are




1. Terrell Owens
2. Nick Folk
3. Roy Williams


If these 3 guys play well the Cowboys will win the game.

It will take more than 3 players to beat the Pats. But those 3 especially have to play well. I did'nt expect this topic to be praised but it is what i believe. We shall see soon.

I think the original posters was assuming that those 3 guys you mentioned will.

Roy Williams has a tendency to get burned, and Folk is unproven. Romo Ware and Newman for the most part are always solid.

If Romo has a great game along with Ware & Newman we beat the Patriots.

1. Implicit in Romo having a great game is the OL plays well and our WRs, TE & RB put up big numbers.

2. Also if Ware has a great game, implicit is that he got to the opponent's QB frequently,

To me above 3 makes more sense then the original poster's list of 3.

The key to us winning is Romo staying cool, coming from behind, and not forcing too many plays. Grind it out slow and win. I expect us to be down by 14 at the half but I'm hoping the kid can keep it together in the 2nd half...

I think 2 guys who are going to really be a great asset are Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett.

Remember that Wade has coached against the Pattie cakes while in Buffalo and San Diego and has vast experience seeing them on film from those days. Jason's stint in Miami also had battles with them twice a year and so he brings his past knowledge as well. I don't think we'll be outcoached in this game. I really believe they will come up with a great game plan.

This is one game where Jason is not gonna open conservatively nor take his foot off the pedal; and Wade's 3-4 is gonna go after Brady with all out pressure using intricate blitzes. We have seen that Brady becomes normal when he is being harassed and pressured.

Our 'Boys just need to execute......which is what our offense has been doing, and our defense is beginning to.

I'm with you w/ Folk and Roy...

But b/c it's looking like Anthony Henry may not play, I think the DLine/LB (the passrush) as a whole need to step up to take pressure off the 2ndary

The only way that is going to happen is if Dallas defenders are in his face harrassing him all game. When he has a clean pocket he will pick any team in the league apart.
