Regardless of how bad our defense was tonight, this game still could have been won. It was decided by these three plays.
1) The Dak non-sack at the end of the first half. JG should have went off on the ref who blew this call. Lael didn't help with his stupidity either. It cost us at least 3 points.
2) 4th and 1 and down by 8 points. Rams have 9 guys in the box. We call a run play right straight at the best player in the NFL. Not only the best defensive player, the best player in the NFL. Is that arrogance by Linehan and stupidity by JG for allowing it, or is it just a lack of knowing who your opponent is? Also showed Dak doesn't have the freedom to check out, or he's not smart enough to be able see that play won't work and KILL IT, before they snap the ball.
3) 3rd and 8 yards to go at the end of the game and we have 9-11 guys bunched inside. To make it better, the worst player in the NFC watches Goff run for 11 yards. Jeff Heath would not make the practice squad for most good teams, yet he's starting for us because Willlly idiot McClay can't find a safety. Jeff Heath should have to find his own way back to Dallas.
