On 3rd and Long, we have seen more teams standing their defensive linemen up and moving around before the snap which seems to have worked a little bit against Romo.

If teams continue to do this, it almost seems like a good time to run the ball. As big as our offensive linemen are I wouldn't mind seeing what they could do after getting a little momentum before crashing into the defenders. Throw in a punishing runner like Barber and they'd be hurting. Heck, if they put some guys on their backsides, Jones may take one to the house.

I agree, give our OL a few times of knowckig them on their *SS and I bet they will back off that formation.

Yeah, a quick snap and handoff to Barber would be fun to watch!

First I want to thank the teams for doing that against....

Second.. I want to thank Garrett in advance for his future adjustments to counter that defensive look :)

lol...nice post.

I have no clue why teams are even trying it. Before the play starts, they are already in a bad position to do anything. Straight up, standing high and just waiting for someone to push em right over.

Yeah, its a gimmick D which will be exploited soon.

Direct snap

Sounds like a good idea but I wonder if Gurode is the one you want quick snapping it direct to the RB?

Yap, I don't think the Jets tried it in the second half. Their goal is to attempt to hide the blitz, but Garrett made some beautiful adjustments. It also seemed that the Cowboys ran some basic formations and plays in the second half, seemingly because the game was over at the halfpoint...

Agreed. And if they're standing, it will be so much easier to get up under their shoulder pads and push 'em back.

I did notice the Jets run a few stunts out of that formation, but if it's a running play, it could make a hole even easier to push open
