Colin Cowherd just mentioned something pretty interesting, yesterday the Cowboys faced 3rd & 3 (or less) six times and passed the ball all 6 times and went 0-6.

We have the highest paid running back in football (with a history of being damn good in short yardage situations), and a rookie RB that has also proven he can get chunks of yards as well.

I think this goes back to the Vikings games where we had a chance to win (2nd & 2 in the Redzone and couldn't convert on 3 straight plays). The media and fans blamed coaching for 'taking the ball out of Dak's hot hand', but this was a totally different ball game due to the weather conditions and Zeke was actually having success running the ball.

The Cowboys front office/coaches are obviously listening to the media/fans, instead of just lining up and trusting what has worked for the last few years (pounding the rock and controlling the clock).

It doesn't matter if we run or pass.

Whichever one doesn't work was the wrong play call every time.

They did run Zeke on a 3rd and 4 though and he got 6 yards. But I agree. On the play where Frederick was called for tripping - a bogus call - The Patriots lined up with two LBs over the Cowboys C and RG. When I saw this it appeared to me the Patriots were giving the Cowboys the 1 yard and a first down - so why not take it? I don't know if it was Dak who chose to throw it or if the coaches called it, but based on the alignment, it looked like Zeke could easily run for the 1st down and maybe more. There was plenty of time and they had 3 time outs. A run their takes away the INT, a sack, and a tripping call.

I think the Cowboys have lost confidence in their running game and that is understandable. It has failed them in crucial situations in several losses. But Sunday they could have run it more. It was never going to be a high scoring game because of the weather.

This staff is braindead. When we aren't successful running the ball we force it. When we are successful running the ball we get away from it.

So what was your opinion when they ran Zeke twice into the middle of the Vikings line and was stuffed, then tossed a pass to the flats and still did not get the yardage.

There is something wrong with the line in short yardage that cannot seem to get an opening for Zeke. Because yesterday as with quite a few games this season, he moves the sticks.

So were you screaming for the run after the Vikes game?

People all summer long have been blaming play calling inside the red zone. Linehan was the excuse people made. He passed too much. After the Vikes game, it was where was the pass.

Maybe what this is, is a result oriented displeasure, and the play is less significant than the rancor.

Zeke can literally fall forward and put his head down to get two yards. The Viking game was one of the only times I’ve ever seen him stopped when it comes to getting a first and that was on a couple of blown up rpo plays.

zeke is a beast moving the Chains and near the goal line.

Have you seen our running game get stuffed the last 3 weeks and everyone crying to pass.
