The Cowboys are leading the league right now with a 50% 3rd down conversion rate. We are killing and demoralizing teams based on this stat alone. Dak has turned the redzone td struggles of Week 1 ( which were not his fault anyway ) Into a strength of this team.

The Bengals in comparison are ranked 31st out of 32 teams with a 28% 3rd down conversion rate they are horrid at sustaining drives.

I believe this could be a telling stat this week. If we keep the 3rd down rate this efficient vs. the Bengals they are in for a long demoralizing day. We need to eliminate them from the big play and force them to go the length of the field which they have yet to prove they can do this year.

If you run a ball control offense you must have a high Sc%, RZ%, and 3rd down conversion rate. I don't know how well the Bengals play pass defense although they're allowing only 57.5% pass completion rate, have 4 INTs, and are only allowing 6.4 A/YA. Haven't watched them.

None of this is correct. This is what it takes to win a football game.

They are an aggressive D we run - we should be able to keep them off guard a bit with bootlegs, a few screens, and some misdirection stuff, Dak may run a couple times just to put that in there head too

Nice. But, the Bangals are highly ranked at stopping the run!! Have not allowed a run TD this season!!
dallas is 2nd in rushing, the teams cin has played, ranked 12th,14,15,and 29th .
None of those teams had a rusher int the top 10, miami rusher was not even on the board lol.
Cin rusher Hill is ranked # 19

I Hhave been taking a close look at what happens when the Cowboys run on 1st and ten.

Dak and the offense has so many more options on 2nd and 3 than they do on 2nd and 8.

The Cowboys did very poorly in this area in game #1. They improved somewhat in game #2 and but blew the lid off the next two games.

This is a perfect correlation to their offensive success once Zeke got going.

Look at 1st and ten when the Cowboys run. This will tell you how they are doing.

We're also pretty good on 3rd down when the run isn't working.

Conversion %, pass on 3rd down, 6-10 yards to go
1 OAK 9 of 16 56.3%
2 NYJ 11 of 20 55.0%
3 CAR 11 of 21 52.4%
4T DAL 7 of 15 46.7%
4T GB 7 of 15 46.7%
