I remember the 90's teams used Emmitt as a single back a little.

It seems this would be the best unit for attacking defenses, but Parcells was always so concerned with protection, he was too conservative.

Does anyone know if Miami used this often?

I hope to see this unit a lot.

I dunno, if you're going to run singleback, I'd opt for 4 WR (or possibly 3 WR with Witten split out wide) to spread the defense even more.

Personally, I prefer running with a fullback, or two back formation, as long as the fullback or second back is a real threat. I would like to see more formations with JJ and Barber on the field at the same time.

The 90's had moose Johnston maybe the best ever fullback. A good tight end is way better to have than a receiver who won't block like a TE. TE can block and catch passes. The reason Emmitt was so good was his FB.

you can go multiple sets... there is absolutely nothing wrong with throwing out a 3 WR, single back set some of the time... it spreads the defense out... and given Jones' pension to run better with bigger lanes, I don't see how tht would be bad... those delays would look pretty sweet out of that set...

If the OL can block then we should use it some. JJ should be able to run out of it given blocking. I think you're going to see a lot of things this year.
