I like to keep things in perspective. We've still got a lot of work to do but pulled out a much needed victory to sweep the Gnats yesterday afternoon. If this team approached every remaining game with the level of focus they had going into the Gnat game, we may just see the playoffs this year. Let's also keep in mind that the team had two weeks to prepare for this one. It will be interesting to see if the crispness is there when we play the Raiders with 3 games prep. Every one of these upcoming games is a potential win if we can allow ourselves to avoid looking beyond the current week. While it's not a division battle, it would be a strong move to take that "everywhere else" percentage to 3-5 on Thursday. We'll see the Eagles when we see the Eagles. Right now, the team should see nothing but silver & black. This team still has a story to finish folks and the ending may turn out to be the best part.

1 point loss to the Chiefs.
3 point loss to the Broncos.
1 point loss to the Lions.

Imagine how much better our record could be if the defense was just average or if Miles Austin would actually contribute something on offense.

That says we have traditionally tripped over ourselves trying to win close games. Yesterday was different. Hopefully a new trend develops.

Imagine if we got to play the AFC South this year. People say our division is bad? Holy smokes those teams are all train wrecks.

I hope so, but I think we are a few players away, mainly OL, DL and the secondary.
