4-1 if we had an average offensive line

If we had a average Oline. Easy 4-1 but as it stands now, this team will have a hard time all year long becuase of the choices JJ and JG made in the off season.

I really thought that the D would be the problem, but Rob has really done a fantastic job so far.

Watching this team try and run the ball make me sick. Can they get better? dont think they could get much worse. Free needs to start making payments back to JJ because he done stole that money.

I think we should be 4-1 with the Oline we have.

If we didn't have a mistake prone QB and a situationally numb coach I think we'd be that.

We don't win @sf and vs wash without Romo. Sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad.

Wait me saying the team would be 4-1 with a good oline is a trolling? LOL I think you need to look up something on google!

If we could run the ball then you dont have to leave it up to Romo, but they cant and you saw Sunday what happens when they try to run it.

I still say we haven't lost to anyone yet. We have 2 wins, 0 losses and 3 beat ourselves.

As awful as people want to say our run game, Oline, QB decision making, Coach playing calling may be we've had the lead in all 3 games and made the wrong decisions in each, shooting ourselves in the foot.

Maybe the book "Sealing the Deal" should be placed in the playbook this week or something.

The Patriots outright beat us. The other 2 we just lost ourselves.

Against the Patriots we curled our tail between our legs with the game on the line and gave them a shot to win.

Actually, we should be 5-0. While Tony Romo and Jason Garrett are reasons why we are 2-3 instead, they are not the only reasons.

If the offensive line had jelled by now, it could have helped our rushing game greatly. Just as long drives kept Tom Brady and the New England Patriots offense off the field and limited their scoring opportunities, so should our rushing game help augment our offensive scheme to lessen the need for Romo to pass and for Garrett to think more (or less) radically during key situations.

That reads as a contradiction of what you are stating.

Our O-line is pretty good at pass protection (not great), and abhorrent at run blocking. We essentially don't have a running game, thus making the offense one dimensional. While our game was decent this week, it was the defense that really shined....not the offense.

I disagree. I don't think they beat us. We made the mistake of being conservative when we needed to be aggressive. We beat ourselves in that game by making the wrong decisions in situational football.

yep....

As I have stated in a thread I started....I don't think Jerry and company anticipated this defense coming together this quickly. Because if we were BELOW average in the redzone (right now we are POOR because we are dead last)....but even if were just below average.....like #22 in the NFL instead of #32....we would be undefeated. How you can strap a team with this much inexperienc on offense is just mind boggling. In the RB meeting room, Felix Jones is your veteran leader. In the OL meeting room..Doug Free is your veteran leader. In the WR meeting room...Miles Austin is your leader. All pretty good players...but NONE of them strike me as a leader. Think about our OL meeting room in the 90s (Allen, Tuenei, Stepnoski, Williams and Newton). NONE of the guys on this OL could start on those teams. So we don't know how to win because we don't have any players with the expereince of how to win the kinds of games we KEEP losing.

Here will be the proof that this whole "youth movement" on the OL is simply a cover to save money. I can betcha that Jerry will ditch these guys and go get some interior OL this offseason. So this whole patience thing and growing pain thing with the OL is a sham.

Could just as easily be 0 and 5. I dont remember any blow out victories. They were lucky to win the 49er game.

I've seen enough of your drivel...I don't need to look up anything. You are what you are.

Last year our line was old, fat and overpaid.

Fans were complaining that we had to get younger along the o-line, fast.

The team did that and now fans are complaining that these young guys haven't transformed into a top 5 line in five games.

Amazing.

when did Top 5 = average? Is it too much for the Dallas Cowboys to field a top 15 OL? Isn't Hudson Houck the highest paid OL coach in the NFL. I know when we first hired Jason to be the offensive coordinator, he was the highest paid OC in the history of the NFL. Romo is making top coin. Miles is making top coin. Witten is making top coin. Dez is a first rounder. Felix is a first rounder. Doug Free is making top coin. Tyron Smith is a top 10 pick. It is NOT too much to ask them to be average!!!!!!!!!!!!

0-5 without Tony, Catch.
1-4 tops.
We lose at the Jets by 10 or more. And we also don't have a QB throw for 3tds on the Lions to get that big lead inthe first place. As for the Pats, well, Tony threw for 300 but was basically nuetral...so we loser that one anyway.
We do not win at SF without Tony.
We quite possibly do not beat washington either.

I understand we'd be 0-5 without Romo but I'm not excusing him for his stupid Rookie mistakes just because he is a good player.

If he continues to cost us games he just isnt worth it. Neither is Garrett for that matter.
