#4- Jared Goff QB Cal- 6'4 215 4700 yards and 43 TD's with a 64 comp % his JR year. Above average arm, exceptional feet and pocket awareness to go along with very good accuracy and uncanny ball placement. Sneaky good athlete for a QB. Once you get past the silly stuff like hand size the only real knock is playing in a shotgun spread offense almost exclusively. The wait time behind Romo should do wonders.

*Trade down*...LA moves up to the top of the 2nd for a QB. We receive #43 and #76 for #34 and #110

#43- Carl Nassib DE Penn State- 6'7 277 and 34 1/2" arms. 15.5 sacks, 19.5 TFL, and 6 FF his senior season. Max effort player every snap. His hard work and dedication exemplified by the fact that he's a former walk on who ended up leading the nation in sacks his SR year. Uses his long arms and big hands extremely well. That skill plus his outstanding motor and good functional strength keeps him in almost every play. Tested very well for a man his size at the combine...4.88 40 (1.6 10 yard split), 4.37 20 yard shuttle and 7.2 3 cone. While he won't be confused for a speed rusher he does show the ability to beat RT's running the arc and getting to the QB.

#67- Xavien Howard CB Baylor- 6' 200 lb physical CB who plays with confidence. 32 passed defended and 9 ints the past 2 years shows his exceptional ball skills and ability to fight and defend 50/50 balls. Regularly played on an island outside in college. Will get dinged because he lacks great long speed and had a good amount of penalties in college. Bright future if he cleans up his technique.

#76- Sheldon Day DT/DE Notre Dame- 6'1 293 with 32 5/8" arms. 15.5 TFL and 5.5 sacks his senior year. Plays with a suddeness and quickness when combined with his low center of gravity and constant motor he becomes a handful for o lineman. Shoots gaps like a pure 3 tech but is also capable of playing quality snaps as a SDE because of his quickness and motor. Outstanding hand use and possess counter rush moves. Won't be a fit for everyone because of his size and tweener traits but Rod will love a quick twitch player with a motor like Day. https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PLeqUtYGqTjO0lXZkjKRQHPu3jKYO38lXZ&v=_M5BhEHYefA

#135- Kenyan Drake RB Bama- 6'1 210 with true 4.4 speed. Dynamic when he touched the ball in college averaging over 6 yards per carry and 12 yards per catch. Also a dynamic kick returner taking 1 back in the national championship game. Can be used as a slashing change of pace back, a WR out of the slot, plus a return man. His big wart is a fumbling issue but also has broken a couple bones in the past couple seasons so health could also be a possible concern. If he can get the fumbles under control and hope the broken leg and arm were just freak injuries he could become a steal as an overall dynamic weapon.

#189- Joe Thuney OG/C NC State- 6'5 309 4.95 40 and 28 bench reps. 2015 1st team all ACC. 3 year starter who has at least 2 starts at all 5 o line positions. Started LT his SR year but projects best inside. His versatility and athleticism could earn him a job as a backup for a while with possible starter potential at C.

#212- Mike Thomas WR Southern Miss- 6'1 200 4.53 40 and 36 inch vert. 71 catches for 1300 yards and 14 TD's as a SR. He reminds me of a poor mans Dez in that he plays hard with an attitude and passion. Constantly out works opponents for 50/50 balls and extra YAC. Smallish school and not exactly huge or overly athletic, but desire and the right attitude can go a long way.

#216- Steve Longa LB Rutgers- 6'1 241 LB who started 3 straight years since his redshirt freshman year and had 3 straight 100+ tackle seasons with 7 sacks and 14 TFL for his career. This kid just flat out finds the ball and makes the tackle. Constantly flows downhill with good vision to plug lanes. Doesn't test as a very good athlete and not the ideal frame, but gotta love the production and effort. Likely special teamer but could be a guy that forces himself into a lineup 1 day if he can become adequate in coverages https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m9fxoT9V9q8

#217- Kevin Byard S Middle Tenn St- Well put together safety at 5'11 215. 15 career interceptions with 4 going for TD. Willing tackler although doesn't always hit as hard as his frame suggests. You'll see him on the ground holding onto ankles too much for my liking. Only an ok athlete with a 4.64 40 and the level of competition is an obvious question, but he's worth a shot to see if the play making skills can translate.

So, did the Rams pass on Lynch at #15? If so, who did they pick. No way Lynch makes it out of 1st round.

Lynch goes #7 to the 49ers...Rams trade up for the only QB left that could help them next year, Connor Cook.

I am not giving up 34 .I view it as important as a late 1st rounder with the talent that's going to still be on the board. We could get an immediate starter there.
And I wouldn't take Nassib anywhere in the 3rd round. Far too many good RBs to even consider Drake.
