If that's your mock then we can undo the <snip>. You can't publish entire articles and an entire draft from an article is too much to post. You also need to give a link if this is from an article.

My apologies. As long as its your work then you're welcome to post it.

it's the first pick draft sim, I've posted 4 of these now I think and I know other have as well, I think I'm the only one that posts the draft summery so people can decide what they would have done based on what happened.

and if anybody hasn't used it in a few weeks you are no longer guaranteed a trade offer at all of your non comp picks and the trade offers have swung dramatically the other way in early rounds(was offered a 7th to move down a spot in the first lol) but the middle rounds are reasonable now.

traded our 4th and three 7ths for the second pick in the 5th and 6th

Round 1 Pick 16: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh
Round 2 Pick 15: Deone Bucannon, SS, Washington State
Round 3 Pick 14: Demarcus Lawrence, DE, Boise State
Round 5 Pick 2 (WASH): Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia
Round 5 Pick 18: J.C. Copeland, FB, LSU
Round 6 Pick 2 (WASH): Isaiah Crowell, RB, Alabama State
Round 7 Pick 33 (COMP): Dri Archer, WR, Kent State
Round 7 Pick 36 (COMP): Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma
Round 7 Pick 39 (COMP): Denicos Allen, OLB, Michigan State

I did two earlier today and they definitely have tightened things up a bit....most of the trade offers were much tighter and if anything may have been a little one sided the opposite way. Definitely more realistic. I think their player evaluations are questionable as to round for many.

As for the draft....I am not a big fan. In doing all these mocks, it really seems like there are a lot of late round guys that are worth a flyer...especially in the DE/OLB group. So I am thinking that we likely will end up using them all. I just don't see QB, FB and WR (and then a redshirt CB) as being great values when we need more DT, pass rusher and OL help.

Can't believe Dee Ford would be there at the very end of the 2nd round. I fact, that second round was really loaded.
Also, honest question; why do you prefer Copeland over Prosch at FB?

I can't see Dallas passing up on Crichton in the 2nd to take Deone Buchannon.

That's just my opinion though.

I don't but the boys have shown interest and the difference isn't that big. In fords case it is really weird because they have him rated as a first day pick but all these teams skip him and take crichton and attaochu and tuitt ahead of him. I have a feeling that they have certain players slotted to select teams and the boys are one of those teams so when I don't pick him he falls.

OK, not fair to criticize without posting mine.

Donald was available at 16, but I went with the FS because it's still a huge need and with signing Melton, I thought we might be able to get some DL help a little later.

Round 1 Pick 16: Calvin Pryor, FS, Louisville
Round 2 Pick 15: Scott Crichton, DE, Oregon State - High motor pass rusher....works for me
Round 3 Pick 23 (K.C.): Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada - Can play tackle but might be able to move in and start as a G
Round 4 Pick 19: Caraun Reid, DT, Princeton - That depth we need at DT
Round 5 Pick 18: Max Bullough, ILB, Michigan State - Mike possibility with NFL bloodlines, can move Lee if we desire
Round 5 Pick 23 (K.C.): Walt Aikens, CB, Liberty - Solid corner
Round 7 Pick 14: Trey Millard, FB, Oklahoma - Best FB in draft
Round 7 Pick 16: Larry Webster, DE, Bloomsburg - Pass rushing prospect
Round 7 Pick 23: Eathyn Manumaleuna, DT, Brigham Young - More DL depth
Round 7 Pick 33 (COMP): Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma - redshirt this year, competes for starting spot in 2015
Round 7 Pick 36 (COMP): Gabe Ikard, C, Oklahoma - versatile RKG at C/G
Round 7 Pick 39 (COMP): Garrett Gilbert, QB, Southern Methodist - QB with all the measureables

Me either. I do not like Buchannon but I love Crichton. I would probably cry if that happened. LOL...

I don't like it.

There is too much talent available in the 2nd to take Bucannon.

I'm not a big fan of Lawrence. He's not that quick and doesn't have the size to play on the Strong Side where the DE without elite quickness should play.

Murray is OK, but I could live without drafting a QB.

I think all of the FBs will be available in the 7th. I doubt if they draft a 1 dimensional FB. A guy like Millard would be a better fit. Linehan barely used his FB last year.

I love the Crowell pick. If he can get his head straight, he has earlier round talent.

Archer would be a fun pick; although the Cowboys really need a developmental outside WR.

Colvin is fine. He needs to get bigger and might be on IR all year, but that's a good way to develop a player without using a roster spot.

Denicos Allen is a 5-10, 225 pound LB that ran a 4.74 forty. Seems like a UDFA at best.

but could you live with it?

fair point

gotta plan for the future sometime and it's about that time.

I like millard as well but copeland has better hands and more quickness than his size suggests. I do not agree that all FBs will last till the 7th
I love the Crowell pick. If he can get his head straight, he has earlier round talent.
my thoughts exactly
Archer would be a fun pick; although the Cowboys really need a developmental outside WR.
I agree and if I hadn't traded half my 7ths I'd take archer as well as jeff janis or l'damian washington. Everybody seems fine with beasley as our slot but having a deep speed guy in the slot is under valued, being able to hit a guy like archer in the seam is a good way to keep the safety honest and score quick if he isn't. I'm more confident in twill as the outside guy than I am in beasley in the slot.
Colvin is fine. He needs to get bigger and might be on IR all year, but that's a good way to develop a player without using a roster spot.
My thoughts as well, and as with crowell and murray he has earlier round talent
Denicos Allen is a 5-10, 225 pound LB that ran a 4.74 forty. Seems like a UDFA at best.
I don't care about all that, he can play. all of that stuff you mentioned is why he is available in the 7th. That being said, I'm not married to the pick.
