4-3/3-4 Hybrid?

I don't see a reason to run too many 3 man fronts. All of our pass rushing talent is on the line.

I sincerely hope we do not implement ANY 3 - 4 alignments. I have never liked an alignment that sometimes has the best pass rusher dropping back in coverage.

That makes zero sense. All of the linbackers we have are coverage players not pass rushers. Every single one of them would be an ilb in a 3-4 scheme.

Lawrence is not big enough to be a 3 - 4 end and Gregory would have to drop into coverage on some plays.

Hardy - Brent - Mincey
Gregory - Lee - McClain - Lawrence

I don't think you want to do it very much but it could be an interesting wrinkle if you're in a and long situation and really just wanted to go heavy blitz.

It's a 4/2/5 Defense 80% of the time.

If we went with any defensive sets in the 3-4 I think it would look like this. McClain, Brent, Crawford. Lawrence, McClain, Lee, Hardy.

Talk about a waste...

In the 3-4 the DEs don't get a lot of sacks. Hardy would be ewasted at a DE spot, not to mention he's actually undersized for the position.

Dallas plays nickel so much of the time that we'd rarely see a 3-man front. It'd be a waste of practice time to implement it.

We are very far from having the personnel for a 3-4. Often rosters can be interchangeable but we've done a lot to distance ourselves from the 314 these last few years.

this likely would only work in Madden, but even then I have my doubts
