This certainly isn’t the first time this team has had 5 sacks, but it’s the first time that I can remember that nearly all the pressure came from the defensive line. 4.5 of the 5 sacks were: Lawrence (1), Bennett (1), Collins (1), Armstrong (1), and Quinn (0.5).

This is big. Yeah, there were a lot of warts from last night, but you win and lose games on the offensive and defensive lines. Kudos to Jerry and Co. for taking what was a liability in the off season and adding a Quinn and Bennett to turn it into a strength.

Last night the Cowboys were generating pressure with four rushers. When that happens, you’re going to get turnovers as we did last night.

Jaylon was only credit with half a sack? sacks are odd sometimes, that play seemed all him. It is good to see the line play so well and that is with Quinns name going unmentioned until his altercation in the 4th

I absolutely could not stand Bennett. He always annoyed the poop out of me. Then he put the star on and now I'm a fan. He definitely added more fuel to the fire. He did make a few early mistakes, but once he settled in, he needed to be accounted for and that's something that the d-line desperately needed.

I’m with you, there. It’s funny how your opinion changes when they switch colors.

I never thought I could deal with T.O. being a Cowboy, but I got over it. I’m going thru the same thing right now with Russell Westbrook being a Houston Rocket.

Have this ability and being able to still bring a Jourdan Lewis, a Jaylon Smith and a Jeff Heath into the pass-rushing mix as well is going to be havoc for opposing Os.

With all of the other defensive issues we have that DLine forcing turnovers won us the game.

Reminds me of T.O. and Deion. Although strangely I could adopt T.O. but never could support Deion. All three are pure mercenaries.

You do realize they have a horrendous O line and a rookie QB who was averaging 2 turnovers a game for a whopping 8 INT’s and 9 fumbles over his first 7 games? Take a look at the other teams they’ve played, most can say the same thing. It’s nice to see and all but it’s not like this defense became legit for destroying one of the worst teams in the league and I’m guessing the QB with the highest turnover percentage.

Jaylon hit Jones first but Jones initially got out of his grasp. Quinn was there to grab Jones, then Jaylon got back on him to finish him off. Quinn gets half a sack because if he had not been there maybe Jones is able to complete his escape.

But, if you're going to criticize them when they play poorly, you should compliment them for playing well, no?

I rarely criticized them for playing poorly. When most people were screaming for heads after the Saints and GB game I was overall optimistic and thought we played tough games that we could of won by cleaning up a few minor mistakes. That was also because they played against good teams.

They played ok last night but it’s what I would expect, even less than what expected, considering the competition. I was more impressed with the Saints loss than this win.

Your life as a fan must really suck if you can never see anything positive.

I can see plenty positive and your life must suck as a fan when you get overly optimistic only to be let down. You’re the type that probably has wild mood swings and reactions to every play and every game. The good news is if you’ve been a fan long enough than you must be used to the let down, congrats.

I bet you’re one of the several people I mock in the live game threads that call the game over and saying everyone sucks after the other team scores first or if we don’t score on every drive. Delusional people like you keep me entertained.

Funny you say that I feel the same way. T.O. was so lovable in spite of himself. Those other two only a mother could love.

No, but they're legit b/c of the way they shut down the Saints and Aaron Rodgers.

I still think Dorance has potential. But I thought he’d be further along than he is

Wait, you’re kidding, right? You’re talking about our defense shutting down AR and the Saints?

I believe we also had 11 QB hits.

You pound a guy like that and he's gonna start making bad throws

Aaron Rodgers didn't do anything, the Saints didn't score a touchdown.

I don't wanna hear nonsense about 31 points blah blah blah. The Packers had 2 drives, Dallas' offense blew both of those games.
