The Cowboys took cornerback Akwasi Owusu-Ansah in the fourth round with the idea of converting him from cornerback to safety.

Sound famaliar? The Cowboys took Cincinnati cornerback DeAngelo Smith in the fifth round last year with the idea of shifting him to safety.

He was cut before the first game of the season.

"I think this kid is a little different,'' secondary coach Dave Campo said of Owusu-Ansah. "This kid is faster, more athletic. More instinctive.

"I think this guy has got a better chance.''

It helps that Owusu-Ansah isn't strictly a corner. In fact, he believes most of his big plays in college came when he was at safety.

Someone should warn AOA not to race against Buehler either.

i do agree we do need quality; but this late in the game in lower rounds

if we think we can get one more pick by moving down say 4-5 picks with our top 6th rounder and get a top 7th rounder i would really think about it;

that way we can tab 3 key players with our last picks

now, say were sitting at 179 and we dont think the player we want wont last 4-5 picks down, then dont do it, but if you think he and one other player will be there, then do it;

as it stands now, we need a OT or OG, FB, DE or NT,
thats 3 positions
