Time to purchase some refreshments, plan the menu. Buy the wife and kids a 3 day to pass to the moon.

What ya eating? What ya drinking? Doing anything new this year for the Draft?

Personally I will miss the JETS fans in New York having a fit at their 1st round selection. Maybe the Bears fans can fill that void.

What a week to be working at least 12 hour days :(
But I should be home for the 2nd half of the 1st round. Gonna be glued to my phone for the last couple of hours at work.

I take the first two days of the draft off every year and give myself a little 4-day weekend...so, not sure what's on the menu just yet, but it will be something unique...I will be glued to the PC with NFLN on the TV

Yeah. I'm against it being anywhere but New York. What can I say? I'm a traditionalist.

I'm off the grid for those three days. The people that know me know this. Between tracking the picks, updating people's value boards on what's left and my own board, my head is spinning after the 2nd round when the picks come in fast. But it's my sports high for the year.

I go into the bunker at dinner time Thursday and won't emerge until Saturday evening. If I see my shadow, and I usually do, it means four more years of corners.

I'll be eating Spam sandwiches and Cheez-Its, btw. Wash it down with some Mountain Dew.

It used to be better when you could take off Fridays, sit down with your Blue Book while dressed in your PJs with footies and make mock drafts until Saturday.

Now, thanks to good ol' Rog, you get off work, endure an hour or two of Mike Mayock lisping and then only get one round of goodness.

I ran one marathon in my life...the "Mean Marathon" in Baltimore in 1984 (or was it '85)....my goal was to break 2:50 so I could qualify for the Boston Marathon....did 2:49 & change...was exhausted and sore for a week...

Requested Thurs and Friday off months ago for a 4 day weekend

Going to a buddies house for the 1st round..
Hot roast beef sandwiches with a side of taco dip. 12 pack of cold Yuengling in the fridge

The rest of the days I'll be hunkered down on my couch being hypnotized by Mel's shiny hair.

The one thing I hate about the covereage is when they get to the latter round picks and they are all up there yapping, or cut to the studio to talk about Cleveland having an A+ draft so far, etc and then skip over the picks like ours, etc.

I realize it's a long process, but I want to see highlights of each and every one!

Couldn't agree more. I don't research enough to know a lot about these players after the 4th rd. It gets to the point where only 1 out of 4 or 5 picks gets talked about. The later it gets, the worse it gets, to the point where they only seem to talk about the player if there's a controversy or someone who slid.

If they want to give on the fly grades or updates on team HQ do a special hour long episode after the day is over. Keep the draft about the selection which is what it should be about. Its not like they don't have 3 different days where they can address everything else pre or post live draft. Pan aways early are ok because the time between picks are longer, but day 3 should be fast paced player selection thoughts only.

I luved it being on Saturday & Sunday only...

2 days worth of TV. 2 days worth of junk-food. Draft guides & newsletters & notes tossed everywhere.

It was pure joy.

I'll be watching it on TV with the sound muted, listening to Broaddus and Bugler on Dallascowboys.com.
