4 games left - how does it end

I'm not making any predictions other than I know we can be there. I'll be holding my hands over my eyes and peaking through my fingers watching, though, until Garrett is no longer the coach.

I believe we paid our debt to him. He hasn't really impressed me too much.

For the record, I'm a Rob Ryan guy. He's going to be a head coach, so why not for us?

You think they can win an away game at Tampa after that debacle yesterday?

1-3 ... finish with their record of 8-8.
Az has been playing better than TB. Miami has too.

IMO it all hinges on what we do on sunday
if we beat the giants, it is game on
I think we win the division if we win this week.

I've rarely felt so uncertain about a Cowboy's team. Yesterday didn't shock me at all. I don't mean that negatively. It's just been so hard to read this team even during the 4 game run.

Generally speaking do I think we're trending the right direction? Yes. But I don't know what result that will yield over the next 4 weeks in particular.

The most predictable thing about this team is its fans on this site. If we win, its all dominants (intenional) and destiny. If we lose there are few good players, the coaches s/b fired and none of it will matter because Jerry is still the GM.

One group posts when we win. A different group entirely posts when we lose. :laugh2:

:lmao:

Mickey comment in my opinion are holding up and many here are proving it today.

People go over board when we were on a 4 game winning streak all the playoff talk and who we are going to play and so on.

As soon as we lost a game people start freaking out and going over board oh we are not going to make it we need to fire this guy or that guy.

Mickey never said last night game was not awful his comments were before that game was played but his claim is valid people get carried away after wins or loses.

Hey, I don't expect a Super Bowl this year or whatever. I would settle for the team starting to play good, consistent ball, game in and game out, and stop the years-long process of shooting ourselves in the foot and finding new ways to lose games that we should have won.

Yup, anyone who doesn't think we can absolutely kill Tampa Bay even after that debacle yesterday isn't paying attention. Tampa Bay is TERRIBLE. As of right now, at this particular point in the season, TB is one of the five worst teams in football.

I think we probably go 3-1 and win the division.

The interesting games left on the schedule are the two Giants games, hosting Philly, and NYG@NYJ.

One thing that is really in the Cowboys' favor is that they can win the division simply by winning their home games (NYG, Philly). Dallas is 5-1 at home this season.

Mickey was so right when he wrote his article last week. After 4 wins in a row people start talking playoffs and Super Bowl you lose and all of a sudden the season is over and some fans start packing it in. I don't know how some of you live on this emotional rollercoaster you make for yourself.

Quote of the day.

As far as "we're headed in the right direction"....Well, as far as personnel is concerned, yep.

But as far as coaching and game management, we're a big a mess as we've been for the last decade and a half. We're just losing games with more talented players - in the same old painstaking fashion. All you have to do is look at the last play the last game vs the Cards in AZ.

We became the 1st team to lose a game in OT on a safety - the result of a punt blocked through our endzone

A play in which Matt McBriar broke his leg on the play

So until we actually get it all together - which will likely come post Jerry Jones - its gonna be more of the same.

We realists have the 15 years to fall back on as evidence.

I'm sorry I don't see where Jerry caused a punt to be blocked or a safety to happen or a guy missing a FG.

Some of the "realists" are just scared cowards. They would rather we lose so they can say, see, I told you 8-8, 7-9.

To paraphrase Arnie, you are all football girlie men.

I had 7-9 before the year and after Miami game, I thought 11-5 with us splitting with the Giants. However, after the Arizona game. I am thinking 9-7 tops. Too many injuries, bad play calling and overall lack of killer instinct.

Glad to see you're a fairweather fan.

10-6
Playoffs

I'm sticking with my week 1 prediction

Finish 4-0 to end up 11-5 and NFC East Champs....

This. A loss was almost inevitable at some point. It's the wake up call that was needed. 4-0 and strong going into the playoffs.

Frankly, I don't have a clue how it ends. There's just no way to predict what this team is going to do from week to week. We could come out next Sunday and play lights out. We could get blown out. I just don't know. I do know this much. If we don't win next week, our season is most likely over.

I resemble this remark.

Dont know about winning next week part, but the boys have me dazed and confused for sure.
