I think there are several more options but you hit on the 4 most popular.

Of course there are, its the draft. We dont know what everyone is thinking. Hell, if Jax cant find any takers for #10 based on salary concerns maybe we get up there, who knows.

But they seem to be the most likely so pick which one you prefer

C...then B may still happen

Oh yeah, and I still say Jax does not take Tebow in the 1st....our bet still stands :)

You can choose. Maybe something mild...a signiture thing and/or photo for a month or so.

Or I do have a PayPal account:D

BTW, I notice Walter Football actually likes your trade down scenario (where Jax gets Tebow late in Rd1) as one of there backup choices. Their top choice is them taking a DE. But at least according to them, the Jax owner may make Gene Smith swallow his pride and do something he would never do on his own. I still say "no, it won't happen". :)

Thats the thing, we see all this stuff just from the on the field side. Weve watched most of these players, the others we read up on and watch clips and evaluate whether or not how good we think they are. But the other side of this is the business side. The Jags are losing a ton of money and Tebow can really help there. He will be one of the biggest stars in the NFL.

So they can take like an Earl Thomas and improve on the field, but it wont help them financially. So to the Jags owner its not even a question. Take the money maker and whether or not he succeeds it up to the coaches.

Ill make the bet that hes taken in the 1st round. I cant guarantee the Jags will get him b/c someone may shock us and take him very early in the 1st round.

I dont have a pay pal but $100 bucks he goes in R1?

Oh well, I guess we don't have a bet. The 100 is not an issue but the non-Jags part kills it.

If you recall, this started with you saying Tebow to the Jags at #10. Then a few weeks later it was for a trade down (which makes more sense but I still said no). My thing was Jags specific, because I think they like Garrard plenty enough still, they have huge needs eslewhere, and Gene Smith took the GM job only if he had full (or almost full) draft authority...and he was fabulous drafting last year. Also, Jacksonville papers have run surveys and they all say Tebow would add butts to the seats but not nearly like some think....and only if he started and was successful.

I was all:

Me:
Well theyre getting Tebow. But at #10 is too pricy/reachy. Trading into the 20's get them more picks and their local icon at a cheaper price.

And you were all:
You:
No way they are getting Tebow in the 1st round. No way. Gene Smith (new GM as of last year) is way to smart for that.

:laugh2: True Dat! Except I think you may have said he'd go at 10 prior to that quote. No biggie...we still ended up disagreeing on whether he'd even go to Jax in Rd 1.

In any case, this draft should be fun.
BTW, I am actually rooting for Tebow soemwhat...just not in Jax.

Time to crash.

Sweet dreams but you are mistaken sir

Bucs took Josh Freeman number 1 last year, scratch them.

Always look out for new regimes like the Bills at #41. But the best bet would be Jax getting back into round 1.

If we did that Id hope wed sort of work rounds 2-4. Trading back up w/ later picks.

* Jax doesnt have a 2nd rounder. We could get the rest of their draft plus a #1 in 2011, but does Jerry sit out that long again? Doubt it.

But how about Jax trading down to #27 from 10-12(Depending on coin flip)? Makes a lot of sense for both sides. They get Tebow plus an extra pick or two, we get?......

You can have my whole Tebow databank if you wish

Officially no bet :(

I'll take Option B.

I think Option A will be gone by 27 anyway.

Trade up so that we are not stuck in that scenario.

I wont be surprised if they do. Especially if they can figure out a way to move up for Earl Thomas.
