perhaps...but losing at home hurts...we lost to Philly at home last year scoring 6 points...we lost to the Giants at home last year in the playoffs....we lost to the Commanders at home yesterday....so what good is it to be good outside of the division...especially if the best football is being played inside the division and you cannot beat them?

I was thinking about this last night. Wade Phillips has coached this team to 5 losses - 4 of them against the NFC East (the other against New England). We beat virtually EVERY opponent except our own division. Yeah the Beast is a tough division, but the rest of the teams in our division actually lose games outside the division sometimes. We have mastered the rest of the league, be it at home or away, but when it comes to our own division opponents, we just haven't been able to figure it out.

Our Division Records under Wade Phillips:

NYG 2-1
Phi 2-1
Wash 1-2

We are slightly above .500 against the NFC East and 11-1 against everybody else.

Yes we don't seem to match the other teams in our divisions intensity, for the most part, when we play them and they seem to be coming out on the winning end more often than we do for those games. We've got to get back to the days where we used to win the ball games with our division opponents more often than we lost to them.

won the first four, 1-1 this year

Just shows how tough the NFC East is. He is 15-4 outside the division I think.

NFC east defensive coaches have Garrett figured out. Washington, as simple as they run theirs, had a much more creative game plan. Short slants, screens, intermediate routes, deep routes, quick outs... pretty much everything in the kitchen. Everyone know Garrett is in love with intermediate to deep passing game.
