Will Hernandez (G - UTEP)
Rashaan Evans (LB - Alabama)
Calvin Ridley (WR - Alabama)
Kolton Miller (OL - UCLA)

5 of the first 6 are offensive players. will be interesting how the last 24 play out.

Man, I'd love to land Ridley. He's exactly what we need.

Id rather have Evans.

Ridley won't make us a better football team with Dak and Jason Garrett.

I'd rather take my chances on a WR in the 2nd round. Ridley isn't some super talent that is head and shoulders above these other guys.

I would not be shocked if St. Brown, Sutton, or someone else is better than him.

One of those dude will be our 1st rd pick. Book it.

Seen a Mock today had us taking Ridley at #19 and Wynn at #50. Surprised me because I thought
Wynn the OG from Georgia was a 1st Rounder

I think these are just who has been leaked. There visit list is probobly already complete

I would be ok with 3 of the 4. Evans is just not good enough to be considered a first rounder. He fits a specific type of defensive scheme and that is not a 4-3 MLB. In a 3-4 I could maybe see him sneaking into the first round but never as your stop gap MLB in a 4-3. Why he can't play a 4-3 Mike in this league: His reactionary skills are lacking and will fall behind the pursuit of a play such as an off tackle or counter to either side, because he is a step behind his catch-up speed helps but his over aggressiveness leads to overrunning the play and missed tackles, He can definitely hit but his form is lacking a lot of the time, if the runner is strait up with him shoulder tackling can be effective but you should never try to do it from the side. In a zone 4-3 there is just to much ground for him to cover against underneath crossing routes and he will suffer because of it. Why he is a better fit for a 3-4 MLB: He has to worry about one A gap not 2 so it helps his reaction to plays, He has less distance to cover on sweeps or off tackle to the side he is on, because of this he can more effectively reach the play and square up on the ball carrier instead of trying to tackle from the side in pursuit, In zone coverage he has less ground to cover across the field which is definitely a plus, In a 3-4 he gets to blitz more which is actually one of his best attributes, this guy is a great pass rusher and would kill it on the A gap QB pressures. Alabama had a hard time getting him on the field because of some of his open space issues but when he was on the field he played strong side LB in a cover 2 zone which allowed him to blitz off that edge or follow the back or reverse guy into the strong side lower zone. It was a limiting role in a base defense, but he played it well. If they ever went to nickle or dime defense he was usually off the field unless they put him on the line of scrimmage as a pass rushing specialist. In our system he just wouldn't be adequate as a Mike he could play Sam and play zone but never in man to man because the tight end would take advantage of him; we are a heavy zone team though. That's why, in my opinion. If you are going to take a LB in the first you go with Roquan, Edmunds or Vander Esch. Roquan is more of a Will than a Mike but he could play both. The other two have the speed and size to play all 3 LB positions in a 4-3 but I think they fit best at Mike. Their way better than the rest of the field in coverage ability, and could both stay on the field in nickle or dime packages if need be. Vander Esch is probably the most realistic pick at 19 for this particular scheme so I really don't get why Evans is even on the 30 visit list unless they are trying to smokescreen their actual preference in this years draft:D

Daurice Fountain WR Northern Iowa
Nyheim Hines RB North Carolina St.

Both are coming in for visits. Also guys coming in aren't just 1st round guys. Miller, Hernandez, and Evans are considered late 1st and early 2nd guys. Ridley now considered mid to late 1st guy after the combine and pro day.

Ravens need WR help and we all know that Ozzie loves him some 'Bama players.
They did add two already, so they may wait till later.
Guess we'll know soon wnough.
Some are even saying Ridley to San Francisco
