4 points was the difference

Zurelein made some kicks. But it was his 4 missed points that ended up being a difference maker in a closer game. (Don't really count the 60 yard FG since it never should have been attempted). If he keeps missing kicks, the Cowboys need to cut him. We saw tonight how costly a few missed kicks in a close game can be.

I wonder what other organization would start a kicker that has no feel or confidence and is coming back from a back injury but the Cowboys.

Hard to say since, if I remember right, we got a turnover right after the first miss. Can't say the dominos would have fallen the same if he had made it. Maybe we don't get the seven that followed.

Having a reliable kicker is huge.

Not having one was the difference for us tonight.

Actually he missed two field goals and a PAT.

“Uh, err, our kicker’s had back surgery? We’ll, uh, yeah, uh, errr, yeah let’s not draft a kicker or bring one into camp. We’ll be fine.”

I was very unhappy about that. But truth is, that we never considered competition for his spot. Niswander was a placeholder and when he got hurt, we treat Hallelujah like one as well. Zuerlein didn't have to win his job.

It's true Zuerlein's misses were big...but let's be honest, that defense wasn't going to stop the Bucs there in a 2-minute drill if they needed a TD too.
True. Even if that OPI was called, I don't have much confidence that we would have been able to keep them out of FG range on 1st and 20.

Not really. Brady wouldve scored a TD at the end if he needed it

The Charger game is huge unless anyone believes the Pokes run off 6 straight wins after 2 road losses to open . No this team needs to beat the Chargers then take care of 3 very winnable games at home , I like 4-1 that sounds nice . Now let’s see four straight W’s

That’s very true, but Brady had first and 10 inside your 20 and basically threw the ball away 3 times to burn clock. The assumption would be that he couldn’t convert that TD instead if you were up by 4 more points
