• Speaking Of Noggins: We were reminded in the first minicamp practice on Tuesday, and quite possibly the last, that the NFL had mandated back in the spring offensive and defensive linemen, linebackers and tight ends to wear what's called Guardian Caps in practice from now through the second preseason game. These waffle-looking, soft-padded cushions fit over the helmets, and the manufacture's claim they will reduce impacts to the head by as much as 33 percent, helping greatly to reduce concussion incidents. Hey, whatever helps.

I've got a cousin out of San Antonio who was part of the group who invented these helmets several years ago. It's taken them a while to get exposure and blossom. It's amazing how these Guardian Cap helmets have now reached the NFL. I'm sure colleges and high schools will be purchasing and using them as well.

Wow, talk about striking it rich with such a great safety helmet concept.

Williams might be an even more important rookie than Smith along the OL. This team needs a legit hand in the dirt pass rusher to pair with Parsons moving around and Lawrence at the other DE spot. You get a legit pass rusher next to those two and this defense takes another step IMO.

I agree, but my bigger concern is a more consistent run defense. If they don’t have that, there will be fewer down and distance situations where these guys can pin their ears back and just get after the passer.

more lie much like Parsons who draft night lots of fans were not happy,,I was i made it clear we didn't settle for sign the 2 scorners and was excited to get parsons at 12 with a 3 that will go down as one of the best steals of any draft we ever had...

its rook on rook so? its all we get right now..one on Steele ...another compete hard athletic defender. Its been while since the excitement and talent level on defense its pointing way up..
