40-39 and Scorigami

Here's an odd thing.

I don't know how many of you are aware of the national sports treasure that is Jon Bois, but you should be. In the above video, he invented the term "scorigami," referring to football scores that have never happened (but could). At the 12:42 mark, he uses as an example "one of the strangest endings to a game in NFL history." The example is Chiefs-Browns 2002, which ended 40-39, the first time that score had ever happened and, as he says, "a score that might never happen again."

It happened for the second time Sunday.

The whole video (like all the Chart Party videos) is wonderful.
 
....good stuff, but no wonder I had a hard time with mathematics ;)..
 
Given all that 2020 has shown us, I expect 40-39 to happen several times this year.
 
I had NO idea a one point safety was possible btw.

That's freaking me out a bit.
