just posting to pat myself on the back

today is my 40th anniversary to the day of being a Cowboys fan. Nov 21 1971 I watched Roger the Dodger and the boys handle Roman Gabriel & the Rams on thanksgiving and never looked back.

Oh how grateful I am

Happy anniversary!

Wow, a Roman Gabriel reference, have not thought about him in a good long time.

Cool. Congrats.

My 40th year comes next year on 1/16/2012.

1st game I ever watched Super Bowl VI on 1/16/1972.
Been a fan ever since and will be until the day I die.:starspin

Seems like a lifetime ago.

It has been a great ride, hasn't it?

yup in those 40 years the one team in sports who I think has given any fan the most return would be the Lakers. They had three periods with multiple championships and some all time great players, or is it 4

after that I suppose, as much as my fingers hurt typing this you would have to say the Yankees (shudder) and the Steelers (god that hurt to type), but then the Boys have given the most rewards to their fans

even in the 70's the Steelers had the 4 championships but the Cowboys were # one that decade for
wins
playoff appearances
playoff games
playoff wins
division titles
conference titles

Congrats!

It'll be 35 for me this Thanksgiving. I didn't watch football until my cousins, uncle and dad were in the livingroom at the time - I was hooked immediately. I don't know why I picked them, maybe it was the star, who knows? To think, I could have been a Lions fan *shiver*

Til this day, I sit in front of the tv, watching my game. Being single, I've ordered a huge turkey dinner from Hannafords the past 6 yrs and I sit and watch the game by myself. Female friends say that it's sad or boring, and the guys are envious. What's sad about lots of food that I like, football and no nagging or arguments?
