44-0

I was a freshman at UW-Madison and was pissed that they weren't showing the game in Wisconsin. Kinda glad I missed it. Just think: a team that woeful won the NFC East.

I might have to add the 2000 season opener vs. the Eagles... (the pickle juice game)

Dallas rushing def allows 200+ yards, Troy Aikman gets knocked out, our prize new WR (via a hideous trade idea, realized later) gets KOd for the whole year with an ACL, Campo era is an instant disaster, plus it was 195 degrees that day.

:stop: :thumbdo: :cry2:

Our prized new WR that shouldn't have been near the field at that point to begin with.

dude...there is no comparison between the 1985 44-0 game, the Houston loss and that 89 game

other than Aikman and Herschel, we had absolutely zero talent on the field that day...we were coming off a 3-13 season that was the teams worst yr since the early 60's...nobody in their right mind could have expected us to be a decent team in 1989...the Saints were a very good team then

David

I'm not talking about expectations or lack of, just the on the field performance and it was pretty bad that day in 1989.

I was at that 44-0 game. What sucks is that I had just gotten in late Saturday night from a tournament (I was a HS sophomore) and then I got up EARLY Sunday morning and rode with my friend and his dad from Abilene to Irving. I was so tired I was dreaming I was at Wendy's and I tried to eat my breakfast pancakes like a hamburger, then I got in my friends' dad's suburban and fell asleep for 2.5 hours. He ragged on us as being "boring" and I was like dude shut up I'm beat. Then we got smashed 44-0. In the rain. On the way out of the stadium, since we parked offsite, I slid down a muddy embankment and the whole side of my body was covered in mud.

Bad day.

The beginning of that dark area wasn't that game, it was the game when Danny WHite got his wrist broken by Lawrence Taylor (it was Taylor, right?).

I seem to remember it being Carl Banks, but it was a long time ago. That was also the infamous Phil Pozdarac game, I believe.

I saw the first few plays, then went to my aunt's funeral. When I came back, the score was already way out of hand. Terrible day all around.

wow. I vaguely remember QB Reggie Collier playing at some point in that game. I was 15 years old and visiting Walt Disney World. My parents were pissed at me, because I wouldnt leave the hotel room because the game was on TV. They all wanted to go to Epcot, so they went without me. What a miserable day.:

It was 1985, the Bears Super Bowl shuffle year.

The worst game I have ever seen our team play.

It was right up there. Certainly in the top-5.

The other horrid games were the 38-0 loss to the Cards I think to start the 1970 season on MNF and losing to the Texans.

The Bears were an incredible team that year. The best defense I've ever seen.
