And we still have about 30 of you on this board saying we didn't pass enough and weren't 'attacking'.
What are you guys looking at out there?

Our mediocre offensive production isn't about play calling. Its primarily about a crummy o-line and frankly, pretty mediocre running backs.

We had many play calls intended to go down-field, but because of the constant blitzing, Drew had to make the hot read and get rid of the ball quickly.

If we throw every play, the pressure on Drew will only get worse and the Ints and fumbles will increase in frequency. The negative energy needs to be directed toward the o-line and secondarily toward the fact we don't have an elite RB.

Lay off Sean and Bill-the game was called just fine.

44 passes but at least 43 of them were for less than 5 yards

yes, i was obviously exaggerating the 43 thing but regardless of hot reads, we did not take many shots.

Combined there had to be 25 WR/RB/TE screens, quick slants, and short comeback routes. I think they were designed plays that looked like hot reads, not all hot reads

You know 95% of this forum will never give the other team props, it's always bad play calling, cheating refs, somebody was hurt, bad kicker...whatever. For the second straight week the opposing defense gave Bledsoe no time to throw downfield. Damn, did I just take up for Bledsoe?

Sometimes it isn't about how many times you throw as it is about the throws you're making.

We threw a lot. Most of them were of the "safe" variety. Sometimes attacking more is about when you throw and what you throw not just throw.

Agreed, some were of the west coast offense variety---ie: a long handoff, pretty safe

but the stat the when Bledsoe throws over 40 times his win % drops to .370 along with his QB rateing is a telling stat........

to many on here caught up in the NFL Madden 2000-whatever mentallity---you cant just "up the rateing" on the guy you put the star on and expect to rule the roost---
.......the other team shows up to play also

Our RB's aren't mediocre at all, its the OLINE that makes them look average. They are very good when giving proper running lanes to run through. The OLINE is killing this team...
