45 pass attempts

45 pass attempts with a fourth round rookie qb in the first game of the season. The so called best run blocking line in the league. We never trailed by more than one score.

No excuses.

Well when your Oline only opens up holes a couple of times, you gotta do what you gotta do. Oline looked bad in run game. WR looked worse in helping Dak out.

Actually they pass block better. I still say some of it was on Zeke's lack of patience. Alfie Mo, a veteran, who got plenty of carries in the preseason, found holes. He was patient.

I'm honestly starting to think we may have just faced one of the better defenses the league will see this season. I think that front is just really good. I'm starting to calm down a bit so I'll withhold my judgement on the run game until next week.

If it stinks up against the Commanders, then I'll worry.

I was thinking the same thing. Should have been closer to 30 attempts for a rookie QB.

Of course when Zeke is averaging under 3 per attempt these things will happen

They ran the same dam play to Zeke over and over though.

Actually probably lucky we only lost by one considering how bad the running game looked.

Dungy said if he throws more than 30 times the Boys will lose. His philosophy defensively was to make rookie QBs beat you by throwing over 30 times. People scoffed at his take but it is still a sound philosophy.

Dak had the number of attempts Romo had in the opener last season. Other than Zeke's TD run he looked borderline awful, did nothing but run into piles.

Yeah. For whatever reason, Zeke and the O-line weren't getting it done. Dak was. You go with what works. I was disappointed they didn't do things to get Zeke in space though. It was some pretty bland running plays.

I think he looks much better going to the outside than he does going between the tackle boxes. Not sure what it is but he looks kinda slow on anything between the tackles.

Looked like Weedon. Just taking what the defense would give.

This we could have won if Romo was in there with a minute forty left and Bailey hitting the ball as well as ever?
