What's up everyone!

I didn't come here to talk trash, I actually came here to talk about the upcoming game between my 9ers and your Cowboys. Obviously, both of these franchises have a great history, and have had some epic games against each other. I wanted to make this thread and ask you guys what I should keep an eye out for when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys?

Here are a few things to watch out for when it comes to the 49ers.

Alex Smith - Last week against Seattle Smith played the game very conservative. I think a lot of that had to do with what Harbaugh and the OC who didn't want to put too much of the game on Alex. Of course with the lockout and all, the 49ers didn't have much time to prepare for the week 1 match up. Smith was accurate and made good decisions with the ball. He completed 15-20 124 yards 1 TD no interceptions. He also didn't give up a sack to Seattle. Of course a majority of the credit in that department goes to the offensive line. That was the best our line has looked since 2002 in my opinion.

The OL - The 49ers have invested a lot of money on the offensive line over the last three seasons. Mike Iupati, Anthony Davis and Chilo Rachal and Joe Staley were all selected pretty high in their respected drafts. I expect them to have a tough time stopping Ware and the rest of the Cowboys defensive line. It will be a fun match-up to watch.

Secondary - Last week against Seattle they played a really good game. They gave up 1 long TD through the air but other than that they locked it down back there. A lot of the credit has to go to the defensive front 4. They got to much pressure by themselves we didn't have to blitz much, giving the defensive play calling some flexibility.

Braylon Edwards, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis and Ted Ginn - All of these guys are dangerous but we need a QB to be able to get them the ball with more consistency. The Cowboys secondary seems to be banged up and I expect Jim Harbaugh to try and exploit that. I expect these guys to put up some numbers this weekend.

Frank Gore - Last week he didn't look very good when it comes to running the ball but he did everything else exceptionally well. He is probably the best back in the NFL when it comes to blitz protection. Hiopefully Gore can be more productive in the run game this weekend.

Rookie OLB Aldon Smith - This kid has impressed a lot of 49ers fans. He hasn't recorded a sack yet (49ers defense had 5 last week). I have a feeling he is going to have a solid game against the Cowblys OL. Something to keep an eye out on.

Well I don't want to bore you with too much, so i'll cut it short. Hopefully it's a good clean injury free game! Good luck and may the best team win!

Who/what should I watch out for?
Go 9ers!

My week 2 prediction video here!

sean lee oh and of course D-ware.

but idk if dez (beast) is playing or not, but if so hopefully he only plays wr. we need him to stay healthy he plays the game like franco harris. I don't think he believes in going down or one guy tackling him.

Watch out for dwayne harris<-----yes i said it. He could be big on punt returns if he has room and blocking.

Victor butler could get his first sack of the season sunday if we get up by 2 scores on you team early.

Jay Ratliff is going to be tough to handle in the RUN game and as a pass rusher (it seems he lost some quickness but he is stronger than he looks).

We have a young inexperience offensive line but they did alright vs the blitzing jets. Hopefully they get better at the middle linebacker blitzes or tony romo is not going to have a good time sunday...lol...we do not want patrick willis coming full speed (4.3) at tony romo to lay the boom.

Felix jones in the passing game could be dangerous if he get a block or 2. The jets was pretty good at tackling, you better hope the 49ers come to tackle. Most of our receivers and running backs are good making YAC.

I like how the 49ers have been drafting the last two years (was not a big fan of the Crabtree pick).

I think we are counting on (hoping for) Alex Smith to be average or worse.
If he somehow plays great, the Cowboys will be in trouble.

I expect a close game.

Look for a blistering aerial assault with Romo, Austin, Dez, and Witten. They are stupid good. I would expect screens to Felix and Murray also and they are very fast once they have the ball in their hands.

The Cowboys running game is still in question. The Jets were stacking the box with eight and nine guys and run blitzing a lot, so the Cowboys didn't have much of a chance to run the ball. So as of right now, nobody knows what the Cowboys running game is actually going to be like. Especially with the new offensive line.

I still have questions about the defense. They stuffed the hard running Jets, but still allowed the run first Jets to pass for 300+ yards. Though Sanchez' QB rating after the game was pretty terrible. So he wasn't great, but did do enough to get the job done.

I think the 49ers are going to have some trouble running the ball. If the 9ers want to win, they will have to at least be somewhat effective in the air.

Good post. Seems like a lot of niner fans have similar concerns regarding Smith and the conservative offense etc.

Watch for our CBs (particularly Jenkins) being healthy enough to play, if we're down to our fourth and fifth string against Braylon and Crabtree, it could be trouble.

Definitely watch Ware who got a sack on the very first play of the game.

Finally watch for the Tony-Dez connection to get back on track after a fast start last week. They could break the game wide open.

My best advice is to not watch this game. Find something else to do, this one is going to get ugly and quick. But if you like torture, this is what you will see: Cowboys love to do screens and a lot of them. You can’t cover Austin, Dez or Witten. Alex Smith is a bust, not sure why the Niners don’t cut their losses. You won’t be able to run because they will run blitz. Your only hope is attacking Alan Ball or scoring on special teams. I doubt Smith makes it the whole game.

My greatest concerns are turnovers and special teams scores (as you mentioned). There are no greater equalizers in the game of football.

You guys got one chance. If we have another ST blunder or two.

I hope we aren't stupid enough to give Ted Ginn a chance to win the game for you guys.

Two thumbs up.

I actually feel sorry for the niners...it's going to hurt.
