Cowboys relevant as we play SF week 4.

NFL suspended 49ers OLB Aaron Lynch four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Lynch was the 49ers' best pass rusher last year, tying Ahmad Brooks for the team lead in sacks while amassing more QB pressures (62) than all of San Francisco's other outside linebackers combined (57), per PFF's Jeff Deeney. "We are confident that he will learn from this matter and that he understands what is expected of him moving forward," GM Trent Baalke said in a statement. Brooks struggled with off-field issues throughout his college career. The third-year linebacker is eligible to return against the Cardinals in Week 5.

Lynch has had serious issues since he left Notre Dame after his freshman year. I'm not surprised at all by this.

Four years later and I will be at the game again :)

I brought good luck last time at the Stick, minus the whole Romo getting injured and all.

Tired of these substance abuse violations making teams weaker. Just let everybody puff and play for crying out loud. They're football players. Does anybody really care if they toke in the offseason? I know I couldn't be less interested.

Agree, but are you sure it was weed? PEDS, maybe?

Yeah, if it's not recreational and not related to an actual surgery, then fine. This time of year, though, I just assumed it was recreational.
