i heard that at the Hotel the Eagirls were staying at, someone pulled the fire alarm at 2:30 am. Woke them all up.

Surprised those shenanigans don't occur more often.

Next weekend anyone? Anyone?

I'm surprised those hotels don't pay a squad of people to stand at every alarm all night. I would imagine an entire team pays pretty well.

Fire alarm goes off in Eagles hotel at 2:30 a.m. ... 49ers fan prank?

Shutdown Corner

This isn't the conspiracy theory of Michael Jordan getting food poisoning before Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. But someone pulled a fire alarm in the Philadelphia Eagles' hotel early Sunday morning as they rested before their game against the San Francisco 49ers.

At 2:30 a.m., Eagles players were awakened to the sound of a loud alarm at the team's hotel. Linebacker Emmanuel Acho poined a finger — jokingly, we think — at a devious but unknown 49ers fan prankster.

This certainly can't make head coach Chip Kelly happy. After all, he has said he wants his players to get 10-12 hours of sleep per night. He also has fitted them with sleep-monitoring equipment to check their sleep levels.

This is nothing new. During World Cup qualifying, the opposing team fans would be singing to all hours of the morning outside the US team's hotel when they were playing in that country.

As a former firefighter, don't do that. These guys risk their lives and don't need false alarms to have to report to, and they are obligated to report. They lose their sleep for a prank?

In one respect, it is kind of funny. But is also isn't.
