I just hope if the 9ers do get to the SB, they play the Bengals so Joe Burrow craps his pants. The history of that match-up in that game doesn't favor the Ohio team. who dey?

Complimentary football. The 49ers had it on full display last night and the Packers simply could not overcome the intensity from all 3 phases of their opposition. The special teams units are ultimately what did them in and that is an area where the Pack was historically bad this year. Shame on them for not shoring up that unit, instead trying to appease a whining prima donna QB. It takes all 46 to win the big ones.

Having an elite QB is a great asset, but it is not enough on its own as the Packers have seen over and over again.

I think they are the 5th best team remaining out of 6, but they could beat any of those teams if all went right.

  • Bucs, with their league-best run defense, would be an awful matchup for them.
  • Rams are better too overall, but 49ers have had the Rams number and seem to be in their heads. It happens. That 17 point comeback OT win 3 weeks ago was wild.
  • Bills would also be a bad matchup
  • KC...not sure.
  • Cincy might not quite be ready

If all goes well, like with the Giants...who knows.

All Patrick Crayton had to do was run his route and catch the perfectly thrown, game-winning TD in 2007 with 17 seconds left and the Giants would've been gone.

Then they beat Green Bay in overtime
.
Then they get the once-in-a-lifetime helmet catch in the Super Bowl to save the day.

That D was lights out though.
