49ers trade for 3rd overall pick

The Dolphins won! But if the 49ers get the QB they want then it was worth it too because they have a lot of talent already

Hopefully they arent targeting Wilson. Or, they have inside knowledge that the Jets arent.

Who could the 9ers be targeting at 3? I can't see Wilson being passed over by the Jets or their trading partner. Too much potential equity to be gained for the Jets to just pass over him and draft Sewell, Pitts or whomever.

that is a huge haul... Big price to pay, but if it gets the 49ers the player they want, then its worth it... Gotta wonder what kind of agitate the niners are going to be going thru on draft day, hoping the jets (or someone trading up to the 2 spot) doesn't snag the player they want to land...

and miami trades right back up to snag the 6 spot from philly...

big goings on...

Strangely timed move, if they'd traded up to 2 (for Wilson?) I could understand it, but trading up to 3 a month ahead of the draft seems odd, too much time to get gazumped, unless they've decided either Fields or Wilson will be fine, or the Jets told them they'd be picking Wilson and had no interest in trading the pick.

Yeah, I'm thinking the 49ers like Fields or Lance. I think the Dolphins are going Pitts, and I think the Eagles are going WR with their new pick.....which they'll probably screw up because they're the Eagles.

In 2021, the Dolphins have Philadelphia’s first-rounder at No. 6 and their own at No. 18.

In 2022, the Dolphins have San Francisco’s first-rounder but not their own first-rounder, which was sent to Philadelphia.

In 2023, the Dolphins have their own first rounder as well as San Francisco’s.

Here’s another way of looking at what the Dolphins did: They’ve essentially turned Laremy Tunsil into four first rounders, two second rounders and third rounder.

Wow Dolphins made a solid play.

The article mentions the Dolphins are getting the 49ers 1st round pick(#12 overall) from this years draft as well.

Wow is right. There's a Dolphins Super Bowl in the next few years. Man.

i guess the niners woke to the fact that they were not going to go to or win a superbowl with jimmy grappolo

Could be Pitts to Miami now at the 6th pick

Not a bad move by the Eagle dropping down from 6th overall to 12th overall, and getting an extra 1st next year plus moving up from a 5th to 4th this year.
