you would think the team meeting would be held and big Mike( and even Jerry) will say to the bunch that they need to aspire to be like that team that beat our sorry ***** and if they think they are champions "ya gotta walk the talk etc etc.".......best hope now is a wild card and even that is a stretch with all the other up and coming teams in the other divisions

SF sure has that dink and dunk offense down pat.
They just beat the ever livin crap out of Dallas 42-10 and you're going to pick on them for their offense? Maybe they knew there was no chance Dak was going to beat them so they went uber conservative.

SF has obviously widened the gap from last year and look like the top team not only in NFC but NFL.

And Cowboys have been over hyped as many of us had cautioned .

We are exactly who we want to be. We are exactly the same thing we have been for ages. We are a thin team with numerous over priced "stars" that sell jerseys and get hype but never deliver. We are soft and weak. We care about image and branding. We care about empty stats. We believe D Flaw is a great player worthy of a large portion of salary cap. We believe Diggs is worth breaking the bank. We believe Tyron Smith is a hall of famer who should play forever. We believe Dak Prescott is a high end pocket passer capable of commanding the offense.

We are the same team that believed Randy Gregory was on the verge of a break out season. The same team that believed Jaylon Smith was a top shelf MLB. The same team that believe Tyrone Crawford was a top shelf defensing lineman. The same team that believed Zeke should be paid early and given the largest RB contract ever. The same team that trades first round picks for WRs. The same team that gave Lael Collins guaranteed money. The list goes on and on and on forever. Some teams care about football and a winning culture. We care about perceived value and maintaining perceived relevance.

Football has changed a lot over the years but some things remained unchanged. Big strong men dedicated to winning will defeat smaller weaker men dedicated to self promotion and contract maximization.

The rivalry between the 49'ers and Cowboys have gone on for a very long time...yet they only have a single win more against the Cowbys. And they have the same number of Lombardis.

I never was taught to accept second fiddle and just blame the biggest target in one's arsenal. Nope, that is for convenience of disrespect...I'll just pass and not have to just give up instead...seeing only blame! Tooodles... :starspin:

Someone once said in the NFL you are getting better or getting worse
we get worse every year, but hyped up by fans ALL ON THIS BOARD before the season starts saying we have great players that we don't have

49-ers are who we used to be.
Back in the 90s. Not sure they’re as good as those teams but if they continue playing like they have this season, especially on Sunday night they may not lose a game.

I am not sure if SF got better or we slipped, or maybe a bit of both. But either way, the gap widened. Wk 13 they play philly, who has been getting better every week. In my mind that is the true measuring stick. Our recent history with SF has been dismal, while philly has manhandled them. If they look this good against philly, punch their SB ticket.

Well who do we root for now? Do we want to see our division rivals do well? I do like it when we are referred to as the "Beasts of the East". Only washington and philly have a chance to carry on that legacy. And let's be honest, it won't be washington.

Dallas has a good chance of finishing ahead of Washington.

Uh, no. I said they have the dink and dunk offense down pat. As in, they actually know how to run it.
