Not to beat the dead Parcells horse, but last year we would've attempted the FG and missed it. This year? We go for it and score a TD that puts a dagger in the opposition's heart. Yeah they scored after that, but they knew they couldn't stop us as evidenced by MBIII's TD. I love the attitude of this offense.

I love me some Jason Garrett/Wade Phillips go for the throat mentality.

Jason Garrett has played balls to the wall offense so far this year. He doesnt seem to care about the score or down.

I have loved the call but to crap on Parcells over it is not necessary.

We went on fourth down often with him including once against the Steelers in 2004. Vinny was hit and fumbled that time.

Nah! With a rookie kicker, he would have sent McBriar out there to have good field position like he did the Bills game in 2003.

I am love the way Garret has run the offense he has mixed up the play calling. He keeps the offense balance with the run and pass and catches the other teams of guard the fake delayed handoff in shotgun was a great thing to show get those defense guessing :mchammer:

This new attitude is refreshing to say the least. We might even strike some fear in opponents for a change.

JG is running the offense like we used to when we ran the league..............step on the opponent's throat!

I love it

Parcells was too conservative. I'm not making anything up. It is what it is. I appreciated his efforts in his four years here, but I'm glad he's gone. Plain and simple.

4th down calls are great when you execute. When you don't, then the coach is boneheaded.

So far, the 'boys have executed well on 4th. I hope it continues.

Have any more examples other than one in 2004?

It's not about going for it on fourth necessarily but trying to put the dagger in the opposing team with the lead. Parcells hardly did this, if we had a 2 point lead with 5 minutes parcells would just try to run out the clock. Obviously Im exagerating a bit but this was his mentality. Parcells played it to safe often proving to be more trouble than it was worth. Garret on the other hand continue to stick it to the defense and doesnt want to allow their O a chance to get them back in the game.

I'm anxiously awaiting all the threads that we're gonna break out for always running draws on third and long.

You know....now that we actually do that often.

That was a gutsy call, no doubt. I was shocked.

Opponents will for sure keep their defenses more honest. That has to help the offense even more.

Parcells walked out on the organization. That is the reality. For all the past accomplishments, only the ability to acquire personnel translated through.

The criticism comes with the territory.
