I doubt very much Jerry made a roster decision based on the reputation of a Spike tv-show and an undrafted free agent.

I have seen him keep people on the roster because of contracts but I cannot think of a single time he did it for commercialization.

He could have put him on the PS as well. He was on the roster and Manny was on the PS.

Just not active. I think he may have started the year on PS but they put him on the roster and left Manny on the PS.

Jesse Holley and Manuel Johnson were both on the practice squad.

For what it's worth, Jesse Holley actually didn't look that terrible in preseason, despite being a reality show winner. I was pretty impressed. Perhaps with time he can work his way onto the active roster. He certainly displayed the will to work hard in that game with the crazy punt return fumble TD play.

Holley and Manny Johnson were both put on the practice squad for the whole season. There have been reports that Manny improved quite a bit on the practice squad including returns.

Yeah, you guys are right. I looked it up and he was signed to the PS in 9/09 and then resigned to the roster after the season.

I just remember seeing him on the sideline a lot. I forgot Wade allows those guys on the sideline and Parcells did not.

No its not at all. We're talking about 1 out of 8 practice squad spots. Holley was never on the active roster. We'll find out this year if he can make the team on talent alone. I don't believe he can be put on the PS this year since he's been on the PS of other teams. They can only be a PS player for 3 seasons.

I don't know and I don't care. My simple point is that its not far fetched to think that Jerry would like the 4th and Long show to continue and having the show's first winner actually make the team might help. Not only might it get the show picked up but it might also attact better talent to participate. Maybe the team felt he was the best player to keep on the practice squad. I'm not saying for a fact he wasn't. I'm simply saying its not hard to believe Jerry would keep him for the show.

To be honest with yall, Holley has potential, and he's a football player. He just needs to work hard to be on Cowboys 53 man roster.

Holley is the most aware player ive ever seen in a practice squad (ofc I only watch Cowboys games) and im not saying this for the PR TD
