Will Irvin's show be back?

I know a lot of you are gonna flame me becuase you don't believe Jesse Holley was worth anything, but I really enjoyed the show despite the results. I think the guest appearances and the shots of Cowboys Stadium were cool last year.

Plus it was good to help pass the offseason a little easier.

I can honestly say that I didn't watch a single second of that show.

You didn't miss much. I saw a bunch of delusional ham and eggers thinking they were NFL caliber football players who just needed a chance because no one believed in them.

It was a fun show to watch. I don't know if Jerry would give up another spot for training camp to do the show. Plus it was good hype for the opening of Cowboys Stadium.

If Holley makes the squad again this year would be a miracle...

That's kind of the idea I got from watching the preview.

He's still not. He's at best the last wr on the roster. Until he can beat out Hurd on ST he'll only be a PS player.

As for the show it was ok. I wouldn't bother me if it came back.

The only way he makes the team is if he can beat out Hurd or Ogletree on ST.

I watched the first episode and that was it. That show sucked something fierce.

I watched last year cause I found it interesting. I didn't think any of them had any shot of actually making the team, in any fashion, that I can remember but I'd watch it again if they ran it again.

I would guess though that since they haven't been advertising it all this time that they aren't doing it again. If I recall correctly last year they ran the show starting toward the end of May and ran it through the middle of July, or something like that. I know it ended shortly before training camp stuff began so I would think that they'd have been talking about the taping of it already if they were going to run it again.

They need to tweak the show a bit.
Bring in a bit more coaching and actually try to develop a guy some.

Right now they are basically bringing in desperate guys. Makes for good tv but not good players. Some of the guys last year were awful. None were true NFL prospects. 2 were fringe prospects.

I think you are to hard on those guys.

I think Holley has potential.

The guy I thought should have won it for his return ability, Andrew Hawkins, played for the Montreal Alouettes after finishing runner-up to Holley.

He totaled 13 catches for 131 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Now I know he would have been a long shot to make the team, too, but at least he had a far outside chance of helping as a return man, which we ended up needing.

The potential to be a workout instructor maybe.

And yet still far more potential to be a professional football player than you, or I, or anyone else that frequents these forums.

I remember being really excited about it and then having the air literally deflate from my insides as I watched my first episode of it. In retrospect, it was a bunch of hype that didn't live up to hope and expectations. I would be extremely surprised if it returns.

I thought it was a good show to!

I hope so.

R2A, sometime in the next five years, you are going to go back and read your old posts, and think, "Boy I was an idiot. What the hell was I thinking?"

Trust me.

You gotta respect the guys on that show. They tried to kill those guys.

You also gotta give Jesse Holley some respect as well. If Dallas didn't think he had some ability they would've churned him off the roster in a second.
