There was enough time in the game that the Boys didnt have to go for it on
4th and goal before the Barber walk in. That was gutsy. I was saying go for it, but at the same time thinking how awful it would be in they didnt score there.

How about you?

At that moment, I wasn't thinking about "what if we don't get in", I was excited by the prospect of getting a TD to close the gap.

I'm guessing you miss Parcells.lol just kidding

They had to go for it. If you get the FG, you're still down 2 scores and there wasn't even a guarantee they would see the ball twice more given the way the defense was playing. If you fail, atleast the Lions are still backed up and you're given a better chance to stop them and still get good field position.

Seems like Wade learned from the NE game decision to kick the Fg. Showed a good awareness of the flow of the game today to go for it, knowing our defense was terrible.....

I agree that call was about no faith in the defense (today) as much as anything else.

I disagree...we were down by 13. Kick a FG and we're still down by two scores; the defense couldn't stop anything...we had to go for that.

we stopped them on their last drive when we needed to, we could have stopped them on two drives (just playing devlis advocate by the way)

Weren't we already in the 4th quarter?

At any rate, the FG just wasn't going to change our situation much at that point...we still needed two scores. If they stop us, he have them pinned down and we still need two scores.

I just didn't see going for it as desperation...I just think the FG at that point wasn't providing key points.

That was a no brainer.
The percentages absolutely favored going for it on 4th down.
You're down 13 at that point and need two TD's for the lead.
If you dont get it, they take over at the one and you have a real good chance to get the ball back in good field position.
