As a La Tech grad, I can tell you that Justin "jelly bean" Ellis is a beast. He gave all teams fits, including Texas a&m. Another interesting candidate for our 7th founders is IK Empkpali.

I feel pretty good about our ability to pick up a very good 1Tech DT. Use a 7th for a project 3Tech to make Marinelli look smart -- Bishop, Whaley, etc.

I'm thinking Murray too and I think they have been planning to take him at that spot for a while. Caraun Reed would be my fallback pick.

Reid has that Princeton connection with Garrett. As much as I like Smith, I think this Caraun kid has the ingredients we are looking for. He can play the 1 or the 3 tech. He is a RKG. I want to know more about him now that I see him as a possibility. I'd like to see his value in comparison with Smith, who has shown RKG questions with the failed drug test and is a small player.

Not in the 4th but a player I would like to take a look at later on is Shaq Evans.

DeAnthony Thomas. He gives us better version of Dunbar and knows Phillys play book.

Imagine both a HEALTHY Dunbar and Thomas on field at same time plus Beasley.

I have no clue about the players remaining except for some WR, RB, and CB. Just throwing my thoughts out there since I'm drunk.

Kevin Norwood is a solid football player who could be the 3rd WR we need and could contribute on Special Teams. No idea when he will be drafted, I'm assuming 4th round so we should probably wait longer for a WR. He is a guy who would usually be a high 3rd round maybe 2nd in some of those WR lean drafts.

Tevin Reece would be a great addition in a Cole Beasley role for this Receiver core.

I have a feeling if we don't get a WR 4th or 5th, there should be some decent ones who make it to the 7th round.

I think Aaron Colvin would definitely be worth a pick in the 5th IF he is still there. That is highly unlikely since he is such a good talent and a lot of teams have room for a stash guy like him.

All of that being said I hope we go best Linebacker available with the 4th, then the best D-Linemen in the 5th. Or vice-versa.

We can have the best of both worlds with this guy. We can have someone who can sit behind (and push, because he needs it) Romo without causing a media meltdown every time Romo throws an incomplete pass.

Can also have his better half working the poles in ATT Stadium for extra cash......

This isn't 4th round but I secretly hope that Lache Seastrunk is there in the 5th and they take him. (I would like another defensive player in the 4th)

Granted, part of the reason is because I'm a Baylor homer, but there are a couple of other reasons as well. For starters I'm not convinced that Dunbar is actually going to amount to anything. Secondly, it seems everybody but Jason Garrett seems to agree but we need to run the ball more. Our offensive line is only improving with our 1st rounder, and there is Romo's back to consider. The best way to protect his back is to hand the ball off more.

I just feel Seastrunk has the ability to be electric if given 10-15 touches a game and would be a potential impact player in the 5th.

As far as taking one of the qb's in the 4th, I might be wrong but I get the feeling next year is the year that we draft the eventual Romo replacement. Orton will be gone and Romo will be one year further in his contract. If Romo goes down this year I don't think a rookie qb is going to do any better than Orton and Jerry seems pretty set on sticking out his contract.
