5 Mistakes the Dallas Cowboys Can’t Afford to Repeat

In their Week 1 game against the New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys let a golden opportunity go by the wayside. The much-maligned Dallas defense played a solid game against one of the better offenses in the National Football League, yet the Cowboys still dropped their season opener to their bitter division rivals on their home field at AT&T Stadium by a score of 20-19.

It is incredibly disappointing anytime a team squanders away an opportunity to win a division game in the NFL. And when it happens because of simple and inexcusable mistakes, it can be enough to send a person into hysterics – which is exactly what happened to the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. For Dallas not to have another monumentally disappointing season in 2016, they cannot afford to repeat these five mistakes.

We keep repeating the same mistakes, what we saw last Sunday is what we saw last season. Inefficient running game, bogging down in the red zone, having to settle for FG's, defense can't make critical stops and boneheaded mistakes. Same old **** under Garrett.

have we replaced Garrett? Every game with a backup Qb follows the same template.Run the ball even against 8-9 box with an occasional 1st down throw.Throw a few token long balls with a Wr running a GO route.once in the red zone the Defense will make sure we see 3rd and long and with a Rookie QB we wont be seeing a lot of TDs.

5 mistakes thw cowboys cant afford to repeat.

  1. Go into another off season without addressing the D line specifically the DEs
  2. Draft more injured or injury prone players in hopes of getting a deal.
  3. Addressing the sun issue at the stadium or figure a way to use it to our advantage
  4. Address the linebacker issue
  5. Rely on Tony to play a full season - but dak helped with this problem

That's because we have the same coach.

"more shots down field to their explosive group of wide receivers (Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, and Cole Beasley). Rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has to be better – he went 2/10 on throws longer than 15 yards –"
The thing is the 2 long completions were to 2 guys who dont see more than 2 targets per game, butler, who should be starting instead of williams,
and swaim who got hurt on his catch.
our big money guys are not catching the longer ones, or getting open at right times.

They should have been dumping off to elliot in the flat, he was wide open a few times, and dak should take off and run any time there is a good opening.

And teaching the players to get out of bounds after a catch when the clock is winding down !!!!

any article that uses Beasley and explosive in the same sentence cannot be taken seriously
