Critics of Jerry Jones, and those fans who will still never forgive him for firing Tom Landry (yes, there are still a lot of you out there!), have the misconception that Jerry makes all the decisions on his own and doesn’t take input. In fact, it’s just the opposite. He listens to lots of input. Okay, maybe he gets too much input at times (if that can even be a criticism). Be the last person in his ear (that’s the goal of some staffers/personnel guys).
Have his decisions always been great, particularly related to some player personnel moves? No, absolutely not. The bitter breakup with Jimmy, the trade for receiver Roy Williams…fans can make a list, for sure. But for all the bad moves, there have been plenty of good ones, too.
